Nice lamp wish the top shade was a little lighter in color doesn't give enough light out We put a higher watt led light bulb in it helped

Exactly what I expected. This lamp gives off great lighting with both the torchiere and the the task light. I am using it for a dimly lit craft room and for sewing. Very nice quality.

We used the lamp for less than 2 weeks and then the power box on the floor that controls the lamp began to spark and smoke. Fortunately, this happened on Christmas day and my wife was in the room. Else the kids could have been burned in a Christmas fire. This lamp has 2 LED lightbulbs installed so we are well below the power limit for the light. Also its weird that the light even has this box as part of its wiring. It is not included in any of the photos.

I love my new torchbearer floor lamp! It’s perfect for the area beside my favorite armchair, providing soft lighting, then directed light for reading or handiwork. It was amazingly easy to assemble and is heavy enough to feel solid. Great purchase!

The lamp provides soft lighting that illuminates the entire room perfect fpor watching TV or relaxing. The reader flexible and provides direct light needed for reading. A terrific combination of needs in a solid stylish package. I had no issues putting the lamp together or threading pieces together straight. I did hve my wife helping me as an extra set of hands is helpful to make sure the cords are not damaged. I do like the on off switch for the Torchiere lamp as it is very convenient. I have been using this lamp for about 2 months and it has completely served the purpose for which I puchased and is exceeds my expectations. Many mentined that the packing materials are messy. That is a fact, put this together in a room that is easy to sweep up the mess, perhaps the garage.

i really like this lamp. It is very heavy so would not top over easily and the reading lamp is great to position how you need it.

Working with Lamps Plus was very easy. Shipping was quick, and when I had to return a lamp, the guy I talked to was extremely helpful in getting us a replacement. On the other hand, this lamp is made very cheaply. It goes together exactly once, if everything goes well. It cannot be disassembled. The lamp needs more robust threaded connectors between the segments, and the nuts and bolts need to be tightened up everywhere. I wish that I could have gotten a better product even at a higher price.

Product is difficult to align parts so that the pole is straight....not a good design! Customer service was EXCELLENT!!

This lamp is very sturdy and should stand the test of time. Being older I had a little trouble putting it together but with my son's help it was fine.

This lamp was exactly what I was looking for it is placed behind an armed chair that I use to sit in when working from home as there is an out let nearby and a surface for phone and other devices. The lamp provides ample lighting and I no longer need the ceiling lighting. My son put it together for me and it took him no more than 39 minutes to do so. Besides the functionality it is very good looking

This is a very sturdy, well built floor lamp. My husband had this lamp together in a matter of minutes. Reviews have noted that the threads do not join correctly creating a crooked lamp. We did not experience this. My husband did lubricate the threads and proceeded very slowly. If it became hard to twist, he backed off, loosened the connection, and began again. He only had to do this once as the other pieces fell into place. Love, love, love this lamp.

We replaced a floor lamp with two bulbs with this globe floor lamp. What a difference this light makes! I don't always use the large globe light; the extended small globe furnishes so much light for reading that it isn't really necessary unless there is really small print. With both lights on, it makes a dark area very bright. We plugged it in to an Amazon Smart Plug. Now we don't even have to get up out of our chair to reach the switch. The first light we purchased was demolished flat in the box by the shipper. Lamps Plus has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. We quickly received the replacement and my husband put it together with little effort. (He is a DIY guy) WE LOVE THIS LIGHT. Thank you Lamps Plus!

Before ordering this lamp I read all the reviews. Everyone seems to agree this is a good lamp but a little difficult to assemble. We decided to order anyway as it was just what we were looking for. It arrived well packed. The complaints that it is messy to unpack are somewhat correct but I consider this a minor inconvenience. As for Assembly, you do need to have patience.Basically there are 3 joints to screw together and thats it. They are fine threads and if not done correctly it will lean some. Turn tube "A" into the base. Keep in mind anytime you are turning these tubes - if they are turning easy they are straight. If at any time they begin to turn harder do not force it! Back it out and start over. You may need to do this a couple times before you get it right. When threading it stop and stand back to look at it from a couple angles - just to check the straightness. Once tube "A" is in the base, thread tube "B" into tube "A". TIP: there is a threaded insert portion that screws into both tubes. Unscrew this completely and remove. It is about 1" long. Take a black marker and mark the middle of it all the way around. Thread it back into tube "A" to the black mark this is half way. If you don't do this when tube "B" is being threaded, you can't tell how much is threaded into each tube as it may turn with the tube. This way you will know that half of the insert is in each tube, instead of maybe an 1/8" or less in one side and 7/8" in the other. Will keep it very sturdy. Do the same for tube "C" into tube "B". Remember when threading these together, stop part way and stand back to see if it is straight. ALSO remember: if at anytime when threading these together - if they start to turn harder, they are probably crooked. Back them off and start over. PATIENCE. This is a great lamp -heavy base, sturdy, looks great! I highly recommend!!!
