Used to be the best, now it's the worst
I used to buy this cereal all the time. It used to have great taste, and the texture wasn't too bad. For some reason they decided to change the recipe, and now it feels like you're chewing and forcing down cardboard. The only way I'll ever eat this again is if they go back to the old recipe

Completely ruined with a new formulation.
This used to be my DAILY cereal. It was delicious and tasted like dessert, but with good macros for fiber and protein. However at some point in the last year, they reformulated it and added in Chicory Root Fiber. I spent years figuring out that that caused me (and many other people) massive gastrointestinal distress and specifically tried the Chocolate flavor since it lacked it. Low and behold they snuck it back in and I spent a month or so eating this daily wondering why I was having such horrible gas. Shame on you for using this awful awful ingredient that causes so many people harm. You've truly ruined what used to be arguably your best cereal.

Horrible New Recipe
Before the recipe change in 2025, this cereal used to be absolute favorite. It had fiber, protein and tasted delicious. Now it tastes stale, lacks flavor, and seems hard rather than crunchy. PLEASE bring back the old recipe.

Wood pieces
Have eaten this for years. Several boxes over several months I feel like I’m eating bark pieces. There are literally pieces I cannot bite through and it feels like a piece of wood.

Buy the peanut butter instead of this
I absolutely love the peanut butter version so I figured I’d also love the chocolate. First bowl after opening and it isn’t crunchy and is almost stale tasting. Big let down compared to the peanut butter version.

Cannot digest it
Tastes fine but it upsets my stomach. I think it's the chicory root used to add fiber. I can't eat this.

Disappointing
I was literally recommended this cereal because it was supposed to be that good. I'm a huge fan of chocolate and I'm a huge fan of granola and I was really excited about the high protein and fiber content, But this is incredibly disappointing. It's bland, doesn't taste chocolatey at all, is quite flavorless and almost stale tasting. Looking at the recent reviews, it seems like there must have been some recent recipe change. Clearly I was recommended the old recipe. I'm with the crowd on this one, bring it back, I would have loved to try the original recipe

What did you do to my favorite Kashi???
This was my go to cereal and yogurt sprinkle. It tastes so bad now I thought the box had been left open--stale and bland with no chocolate taste anymore. After all these years I will be moving on....so disappointing.

Came to look at the reviews to see if I was crazy or not because this tastes way different than what I’ve enjoyed before. I’m super disappointed, this was my favorite cereal. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing again. It does not taste good anymore at all.

New flavor is awful
I agree with the rest of the reviewers that the new version of this tastes both weird and stale. It was my go to cereal for years and years, and I even hooked my wife on it. She hates the new taste as well. I found boxes of the original brought back and somehow still on the shelves and bought it out. We switched to the cocoa clusters but miss the extra protein in the morning, so am searching for a new cereal unless you bring back the old recipe.

Disappointing Recipe Change
I have been eating chocolate crunch almost daily for 4 years and absolutely loved its taste and nutritional value. You recently changed it and I am EXTREMELY disappointed as it was 1 of a few cereals I found very tasty, high in fiber and low in and added sugars. Seems your “NEW LOOK” notation of the box also meant new recipe. I see others have shared their disappointment and ask that you bring back the previous recipe. Otherwise, I will discontinue purchasing it.
