Q: I purchased this playard. When the mattress is used in the bassinet, the middle dips a little so the mattress isn't leveled. Is this supposed to happen?

A: When used in bassinet mode, it is normal for the mattress to show a slight dip or curve. This is normal and not a cause for concern. Because the mattress is designed to fold for storage, the seams can sometimes cause a gentle sag when laid flat in bassinet mode. Importantly, this does not affect the safety or performance of the playard. Our playard mattresses are tested to the safety requirements set by ASTM and the Baby Safety Alliance, including checks for angles, flatness, and support. Your mattress is within these safety tolerances and is safe to use for your little one.

It should be about 38 inches long, 26.5 inches wide, and 0.875 inches thick. Additionally, be sure that the mattress straps are still accessible to secure the mattress to the playard.

The bassinet portion is only supported by fabric and it slopes towards the middle. It’s not safe for sleep and there’s no way to flatten it. Otherwise the changing attachment works great and the mattress is flat if you put it on the bottom of the play yard.

We love this playard!
We wanted a playard that had a side opening and was elevated off the ground. We first tried a very expensive one from a different brand, but it would not lock into place. We bought this one instead and it is wonderful! We love it. It feels steady and secure, and comes with more accessories (like the changing pad and storage flap) than the one that was 2-3x the price. We did air it out for a few days before we used it. We are so happy with the purchase.

This thing was a life saver! My 2 month old is watched by a different family member everyday, so I set this thing up and take it down EVERY DAY and it honestly saved me from buying a Nuna or Bugaboo. The original pack and play I had took 15 minutes of blood sweat and tears. This thing less than 2 minutes to set up. Only thing that could make it easier would if the changing attachment fit in the bag.

Buy it!! I love it.
Had purchased a crib and bassinet but the crib is in the nursery and my baby is getting bigger he sleeps in our bedroom since he's just 6 months old, this is the perfect alternative than moving a whole crib into our bedroom. it's really great quality I prefer this due to the pad being comfortable enough, I checked the graco but it was too hard and stiff this one came with the changing pad which will come in handy when we travel. I was planning on getting either BabyBjorn or UppaBaby but both super expensive and we will only utilize for a short period of time or when traveling. I really enjoy Joie as a brand i plan on purchasing their car seat and high chair in the future as this has turned out to be a great expererience. this is super safe and my baby loved it from night 1. It's super easy to assemble and fold along with the changing pad and it comes with the carry bag if you plan to travel with it.

From the moment we set it up, I was impressed by how sturdy and well-built it is. It feels incredibly secure, which gives me so much peace of mind when my toddler is playing or napping inside. He actually loves being in it, whether he's playing or resting, and that's saying a lot! One of our favorite features is the zipper door — it's a game-changer! He gets to crawl in and out on his own, and it gives him that sense of independence while still keeping him safely contained. We’ve had the Joie play yard for a little over a week now, and we can honestly say we thoroughly enjoy this product. While it does come with detailed instructions, we found that they weren’t necessary from the beginning. It was extremely easy to set up and even easier to disassemble. The play yard comes with a travel bag that fits everything perfectly. The changing table is very convenient, easy to assemble, and also fits in the travel bag.

Superior playard! The only one we use now!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This play yard is amazing! It is far superior to my current Graco one I was using and so much easier to put together and take apart. I absolutely love how the bassinet part simply zips on. The mattress seems much more comfortable while still being firm for baby to sleep in. The cherry on top is the storage bag to hold everything even the changer. I am currently using in my room for baby’s bed until she’s old enough for her crib. This will definitely be used for traveling!

I especially loved the zipper on the side that you can use to open into the pay yard instead of bending over into the play yard to grab the baby!
