Joie Chive Single to Double Stroller

This is my second in-line double stroller. First one was a Evenflo Pivot Expand. The Chive is smoother, folds more compactly, and handles better overall. It feels more sturdy and I love the "luxury" look/feel of the leather accents. Another plus is that large undercarriage basket. However, for the price, I would have liked better seats. They're cushy, don't get me wrong. But the foot rest has one adjustable mode and that's kind of a halfway point, if that makes sense? It doesn't lock up higher, nor does it lock down lower. When both seats are in the forward facing position, the top seat barely has any space at all for leg space. I feel like if the height adjusting mechanics weren't so long, there would be more space to push the closer seat even closer to the parent/handlebar. You can have a 50lb kid up front in the forward facing position but that definitely makes it harder to steer. My son is 34lb and my daughter is 20lb, so having him up front makes for a slightly challenging push, though not as terrible as it was in our Evenflo. I like the impact fold, but I find that the seat has to be folded *just so* in order for the whole stroller to fold properly. I haven't attempted a fold with both seats, though, I believe that's not possible since no videos exist of both seats being attached while the stroller is folded. A bit of a con in my book since I'd like for both seats to be able to be folded in one fell swoop. I'm keeping the stroller since it was gobs of money and I've already taken it for a few walks through various terrain. It could still use some slight tweaks to make it the perfect stroller for parents of varied aged children.

BEWARE! This stroller flipped forward, it went end over end while I was loading my kids in it, luckily my toddler was just surprised and not injured. He is within the weight and height requirements, we were on a flat surface, and it was in a recommended configuration. We returned it because that’s ridiculous and dangerous. On the other hand it was very nice quality, handled very nicely with kids in it and was easy to operate, maybe it’s just better not to use it with toddlers.

I love this stroller! It glides on any surface and my toddler thinks it's comfortable. Kind of tricky to fold but I got the hang of it eventually. Can't wait to use it for two babies someday!

I can definitely feel that this is made of quality material, and it is great how there are so many configurations you can use with one seat, two seats, or with the shopping basket. Lots of room underneath to store a diaper bag and more, and the stroller folds up pretty compactly. I wish that it didn't require both hands to initiate the folding-up process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had a different stroller for the past 2 years now and absolutely love it so was surprised to like this one even more! To start, there are FAR more configurations and this one actually allows both kids to face forward which our other one did not. The price is great for the level of quality. Big fan of the click in buckles (very satisfying to unbuckle!) and tons of space underneath. The build is quite large which can be hard in tight spaces but think that's inevitable with double strollers. Very smooth ride and extremely comfortable, padded seats. Overall, really impressed!

This stroller looks sleek and luxury and it also functions as such. It was also really easy to assemble. I love that this stroller is a tandem single to double because it gives me options. Right now I only have one baby, but we plan on adding another kiddo to our family soon. So, this stroller was the perfect addition. I currently use it in the single option. There’s so much room in the undercarriage that I can probably fit 4 of my diaper bags under there. It’s just so convenient to have space. This stroller is in the heavier side, so it takes a little muscle to fold and store it in the car, but the folding process is pretty flawless in my experience. Now, the reason I love this stroller so much is because my baby finds it very comfortable. He will take naps in the stroller when he previously was u comfortable in our other stroller. The straps are easy to adjust and buckle, and the foot rest adjusts making it a comfy ride. I try to find more excuses to use this stroller just because I love it so much. Keep in mind that it is slightly bigger than a standard single stroller so it needs trunk space for storage.

From the durable tires that can be easily pushed through grass terrain at the park, all the way to the comfortable handle - this stroller has it all. I love the wide storage underneath, the functionality, and obviously how sleek of a look this stroller has. The seat is super comfortable and has a nice thick cushion. The straps and buckle are easy to operate, especially for a momma with longer nails! The shade is nice and big enough to actually keep kiddo out of the sun! I have so many good things to say about this stroller, because it’s simply the best one I’ve had, just buy it!

It’s extremely easy to take it apart and put it back together. The seats have plenty of space even with my toddler being on the taller side, he has no issues fitting. The wheels were bigger and sturdier than I had expected, making it a smooth ride no matter where you go. I love how much the chair reclines, comes in handy when you have a sleepy one on the go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off this stroller is beautiful, it’s very easy to put together and my daughter loved all the ways she could ride. There is so much room in the basket to carry everything. Once you figure out how to fold it down it’s super easy. My daughter said the ride was comfy over bumps and holes. I also love how easy it is to set the break! It is a bit heavy but so much better than current stroller. Now for the few negatives, my daughter is tall so we had to take the sun shade off or she didn’t fit in the seat, it would drag on her head. Also it can seem a bit top heavy or Hard to push depending on where the seat is, like in the lower front it was difficult to push and it didn’t seem to glide over cracks we almost tipped over once.

To have the options to add another seat or car seat option when my second baby arrives. He loves this stroller it fits him perfectly and the seat is really soft . I love the extra space on the bottom I’m able to put this diaper bag and more there without running out of space. Overall it is a nice stroller with features other strollers don’t offer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved how smoothly the stroller glided on the road. I took it over railroad tracks and around potholes and was very happy with the handling. I could even steer it one-handed, which was nice. I love the variability of all the features, but I wish the handle could have gone down another inch or so. I’m 5’3” so the handle was a little awkward for me. I liked that you knew everything was secured because of the nice click sound the parts make when they are in position. The only thing that would make this better is a snack tray and cup holder for the baby.

It is so versatile having so many different configurations with car seat attachment, front or rear facing seats and a super large storage basket. The stroller rides super smooth and the adjustable hand rails are very convenient for my tall husband and also for me. I used to have the uppababy vista and my main complaint was how big it still was when folded, the chive folds up super compact for easy storage. Also not to keep comparing to the uppababy but it was awesome to have standard accessories right out of the box without additional up-charge, like the handle bar, cupholder and car seat adapters. Baby #2 is so lucky to have this awesome stroller when they come home!

Both kids fit well in the stroller seat when set up as a single and it was still easy to maneuver when both were in it as well. Setup was super easy and the fabric and parts felt like good quality. Other things we liked: Easy and compact fold, and was great the seats also folded flat too Trouble-free movement between all the different setup possibilities The second seat isn't right on the edge of the stroller so there were no accidental bumps when navigating tight spaces It transitions well across different terrains Huge lower storage area, it held everything that we needed and then some Minor cons but in no way dealbreakers: The leather grip felt a bit slippery, I was hoping for more grip When the second seat isn't in, the lower storage area can feel a bit open in the front The seats do not look as deep, but with the straps I didn't feel concerned they would fall out The brake would sometimes get stuck after a few uses (but I actually like the press brake mechanism). Overall this is a great choice for a double stroller! It is versatile, comfortable, and easy-to-manage. I can't wait to keep using it for years to come!

I love that it fits through a door so definitely no issues there. The stroller makes everyday outings fun and Practical without complications of setting up and putting it away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stroller is very sleek and I love how you can carry two children in it plus any of your belongings, but it is a little heavy if I'm being honest. I would love to bring this to the Store, the Zoo, or the Fair but as an everyday stroller I'm not so sure. Thats the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Other than the weight, it was easy to initially assemble and easy to pack away. Overall, I am very glad I have this stroller.
