John Timberland Midland Industrial Outdoor Wall Light Fixture Black Motion Sensor Dusk to Dawn 9" for Post Exterior Barn Deck House Porch Yard Patio

I initially loved this outdoor light fixture and was pleased with my purchase. The aesthetic is great, and I especially appreciated the dark-sky friendly design, which directs the light towards the ground to minimize light pollution. The motion sensor function, which would brighten the light upon detecting movement, was also reliable and effective. However, my satisfaction came to a hard stop after just five years. The integrated bulb in one of the fixtures died. Upon inspecting it, I discovered, to my dismay, that the bulb cannot be replaced. This design flaw is simply unacceptable. A perfectly good fixture now has to be entirely ripped out and thrown away. For a product designed for permanent outdoor installation, a lifespan of only five years is too short. It forces me to purchase two new matching lights, which is costly, and directly contributes unnecessary junk to landfills. This is a short-sighted and wasteful design choice that customers should be aware of.

We bought ours a little over 3 years ago and the bulb has burned out. And guess what? As far as I can tell, you have to replace the entire light fixture as you can't replace the bulb! A really lousy design.

The look of the light was very attractive. The non replaceable LED failed, therefore the entire light had to be discarded. Very disappointed !

It was the perfect size for the greenhouse and easy to install. My loved it. Not real big it gives plenty of light. It's stay on throughout the night, but it is dim. It turns bright when you are about 50ft away. The appearance style of the light fits the decor my wife had in mind. Totally recommend it.

Excellent for outdoor lighting !

We only had our light for 4 years and the LED started going bad! Started flickering like a strobe light :(. When this happens you need to replace the whole light! Not Good! Buying a new one - different brand with a replaceable bulb!

Do not buy this. The bulbs burned out after two years, nowhere near the amount of hours indicated. Buy one with a bulb.

I really like the low light feature that gets bright with motion. My front door is illuminated, but not too bright. As anyone approaches it automatically turns brighter.

Love them! They work great especially with the dawn to dusk feature. The motion detector on them is perfect for the application. I would recommend them.

Get a lamp with a bulb. We installed ours 1.5 years ago and the LED's went bad and now we have to replace the whole thing. We are getting a bulb fixture, which is what we should have done to begin with!

These lights fit well and were easy to install. Was just what I was looking for.

The light is very bright even in “low” mode I wish we had more control of the function. Difficult to tell the size scale from the website it’s a bit smaller than I would like for our space

We purchased 8 of these fixtures for our new home in 10 /2019. I think the product description needs to be more clear that built-in bulb means it cannot be replaced. It is suppose to have 30,000 hours of lifecycle. At a mimum, it should last at least 3.5 years if not more. Even then, if I had known the bulbs cannot be replaced, I'd never consider buying it. $800 lesson learned.

I bought 3 of these. They lasted 1 year and burnt out, and since you cannot change the bulb, they are worthless. What a horrible peace of equipment.

I thought this looked like a wonderful outside security light. I had Apple Electric install it outside. It worked for less than 2 weeks before it went dark. We have had strong winds but it is security attached to the outside wall. I need to get the electrician back but all the Covid issues make scheduling slow. I am not going to purchase another bled light like tho one because it is too bright.. GC

Bulb is out at only 14 months, just past the warranty but not enough time to make this worth buying at $100. Unable to change/replace LED bulb. Garbage. Stay away!

I enjoyed this light while it worked but the plastic piece over the sensor broke outside the 1 year warranty and was told it was not a replaceable part. very disappointed
