Its great, but a big price tag
JBL BAR 1000Mk2. I have been testing this sound bar for a couple of weeks now and wow it is absolutely amazing it was very heavy i had to get someone to help me lift it out of the box and place where i wanted it but then the rest of it was so easy, and then when i had set it up and turned it on it was WOW AMAZING what fantastic sound i was hearing it was like I'd been deaf before but now hearing real crystal clear quality sounds for the first time, i had removed a SONY 5.1 surround home cinema speaker system to put this JBL BAR in and now im in love with it. I really love the pure voice 2.0 as a lot of film pay attention to action but not the people speaking which i suffer hearing this part but not with this sound bar, now i really really love the detachable wireless Bluetooth end speakers is genius what a great idea for a brilliant panoramic surround sound like the cinema but at home, i really enjoy the night mode where you can put the end speakers anywhere behind or in front of you and turn all the rest of it off so you dont disturb your neighbours as i live in a flat, then you can turn it up a bit and still hear all the fantastic quality now the 10" subwoofer is amazing base omg i have never had the volume over 15 its to loud and my flat shakes whice i love but my neighbors not as much its good having 3 base settings id great, there are loads of ports on the back for connectivity multiple HDMI ports , LAN, Optical, eARC, wi-fi casting oh and i almost forgot it has party mode too so you can connect other wireless Bluetooth speakers to it for garden partys or outdoor activities i tryed this to replace my old one with loads of wires which is very messy, i have be testing this product for reviewclub

Premium sound quality and features in budget range
Premium sounding experience for a budget price. The JBL Subwoofer 1000MK2 series was really the upgrade that I was looking forward to as its not too expensive like other brands such as B&O or even Sonos but does match the quality and performance that the premium ones deliver. After using the product over a month my take on the product is given below ; Pros: 1. The Bass is the standout feature here even though the size of the sub woofer has gone down from previous generation the quality and richness of the bass produced have gone up actually which is great. 2. The connectivity features are the best available at this price point , you practically get all the connectivity feature that you ask for even for an audiophile like me I have no complaints. 3. The Dolby Atmos feature and multibeam 3.0 are no gimmicks here as you can really say the difference when watching good quality content along with pure voice 3.0 technology that is there no more dialogues in any of our favourite movies or series are muffled up. The night mode is also another nifty feature where we can actually switch off the subwoofer and main speaker and get the smaller detachable ones to play what we need so we ain't waking up our little ones. 4. The JBL one app is also improved now so that the connection is way better and also fine tuning the speakers based on our setting is also done through our app without any hassle. 5. The detachable speakers are better and are now rubberised with covers to both the ends so we are getting to enjoy more of what we love without any compromise and the battery life for these have also improved so we dont have to move them around midway during our favourite show or while you are enjoying the party.

Good but not great
When it comes to JBL you know the build quality is top class especially in this price bracket, JBL has gone further the design and features are fantastic, out of the box it’s plug and play very straightforward to set up, there are brackets to mount the sound bar. One of the features I love about this product is the detachable side speakers that are rechargeable and wireless so you can position them anywhere in the room for that complete surround sound experience. Unfortunately there are some features that would enhance the experience but aren’t available yet. Let me explain, the standard plug and play settings via the remote have limited functions such as you can only adjust the bass not the treble, via the app you can access the equaliser but it doesn’t have the standard Jazz, rock, cinema setting in the equaliser to keep options simple and you have to adjust the equaliser manually whenever needed depending on what you’d like to watch which dampers the experience but as it’s a modern tech and has software updates this feature may get added which will definitely enhance the experience and for that reason I’m rating it 4/5.

Bring a cinema feel to your Living Room!
I have been the proud owner of the JBL BAR 1000MK2 | Soundbar + Subwoofer for the last few weeks. I'm absolutely amazed with the high quality sound which makes it feel and sound like I'm at the cinema. I've used the Soundbar + Subwoofer for watching TV, films and for gaming on my PS5. It syncs perfectly with my LG TV and sky box. The immersive audio and deep bass make the experience much more enjoyable. I love feeling my whole body vibrate from the bass of an action film or game which makes it feel like you're actually there! The BEST thing about the JBL 1000MK2 is the detachable wireless speakers. I have been moving them around my room for surround sound. When surround sound is not required, I leave them attached to the Soundbar to look compact, neat and tidy. I love the sleek design and style of the Soundbar which goes perfectly with my decor. The JBL 1000MK2 would be perfect for all party people as playing music at the highest level is not for the faint hearted! It felt like my whole house vibrated with the bass! The only slight negative point I can raise is the size of the 10 inch Subwoofer. It is big and bulky. Although, its black and looks modern, I struggled to find a home for it without it being in the way - so just a word of warning for anyone considering purchasing for a small space or room. I highly recommend the JBL 1000MK2 to anyone wanting an at home cinematic experience. The JBL1000MK2 is 100000x better then my old soundbar and subwoofer and is definitely worth the investment.

I am very happy with this product so far. It was very easy to install following the instructions steps. Very easy to operate. And beautiful aesthetic. The sound is very nice and strong. And having the app makes thing even better. A bit prices but i am highly recommend it.

Immersive soundbar with amazing sound quality
This sound bar has everything that I was asking for in a soundbar. The coolest part is the detachable wireless rear speaker and they don’t require any wires to work or charge. They just snap off from the main soundbar. Another cool feature is the room calibration option during setup that creates a custom audio profile my specific room. The sound experience while watching movies and shows is just amazing with clear dialogues. The subwoofer is heavy and powerful gets the floor shaking while watching action movies. The soundbar itself is nice and sleek and fits just under my TV. The Dolby Atmos experience is quite immersive with sound coming from all around you. The deep bass is impactful.

Night listening is Genius!
I have had this soundbar for a few weeks now, It has totally transformed my evenings in front of the TV! It sounds amazing, very deep bass with clear vocal too! The app control is a winner, and the night listening mode is genius! Great bit of kit, can’t fault it at all!

great equipment at good price
I've had the device for two days. I'm surprised by the test drive. The sound is clear and really loud. I couldn't fully test the output because I have neighbors on the side. Living in a terraced house, I couldn't fully utilize this device's potential. The detachable speakers are very useful. It's almost like being in a movie theater. Nevertheless, it's worth the price!

For the first time
I’ll start this review by saying thankyou to ReviewClub/JBL for allowing me to test this product!, I’ve never actually owned a sound bar(despite being a massive tech & music addict!). So, here’s the negatives - We tried wall mounting the soundbar. A combination of the wall plugs, weight of soundbar & my walls, meant that the wall plugs pretty much climbed out of my wall as soon as the soundbar was attached(maybe better wall plugs or something?) So, because of that, we had to have it on our tv stand. The Length took up all of my stand, between my TV’s two feet. Found it fiddly to connect once I had put the HDMI in the correct socket, setting it up through the tv was annoying, but worth it, once I heard the audio! Now into the positives... - The Sound quality is exceptional. I was blown away by it. The Battery life is remarkable, better than I expected. The HDMI/Bluetooth options were a bonus, I expected only one connection option. Also, the Design/layout of App is good, simple to use, mirror of the remote too. I tried it with streaming services, normal tv, music & youtube. The quality throughout all of them was exceptional! MVP goes to the detachable wireless surround speakers

Blown away by the sound quality
I have to say I am more than impressed by the quality, design and sound produced by this system. I never really expected such high quality, immersive sound from a sound bar system. I also absolutely love the wireless surround speaker setup and how easy it is to recharge them. I chose to mount the sound bar behind the walls and hide the cables and it looks absolutely immaculate, such a clean installation, the visuals are great, the bar is minimalistic and the sound is cinema grade. Movie nights with the little ones got so much more exciting since installing and despite the high price point, I believe it still poses excellent value for money, this isn't just a sound bar, this is full Dolby Atmost surround at it's finest with an incredible subwoofer that makes the floor feel like it's moving.

Best Soundbar I have ever owned!!
I have owned this soundbar for 2 weeks now and I here are my thoughts. The subwoofer. Wow. The size I was not expecting when I had unwrapped it from the box. From here I knew this subwoofer will pack a power punch and I was right. The first film I tested was baby driver as this has a lot of lows and great soundtrack. I was absolutely blown away with how powerful the bass was and it being wireless! There was never a time I had dropouts from the bass. You can customise how punchy you like the bass to be in the app. The soundbar itself. This is a a great soundbar. It is built with great material and feels premium. I watch a lot of Disney films with my family and we were really eager to test the surrounding sound from disconnecting the speakers from the soundbar and placing behind us. This feature alone is mind blowing. I was a little skeptics and thinking there would be latency but there was none! JBL have done an outstanding job with this soundbar. I am coming from a Sky soundbox which I thought was good enough. But as soon as i started using the JBL soundbar, I was wrong. This is in another league. I would say it’s better than SONOS and Bose soundbars. Now the app. There is one really great setting in the app that we found using every evening once the kids were asleep and that was night mode. This does not use the subwoofer at night and uses only the soundbar for sound. Really useful if you do not want to wake little ones from the bass at night. I would highly recommend this soundbar if you are in the market for one!

Absolutely mind blowing!
I’ve had the JBL BAR 1000 MK2 for about two weeks now and the difference compared to my TV speakers was obvious straight away. The sound is much clearer and the bass is ridiculously strong. The subwoofer makes the floor and the furniture vibrate in a way that actually feels good when watching films. Setup was simple and took hardly any time. Movie nights feel like we’re in a proper cinema now, and for football and cricket it honestly feels like we’re in the stadium. The crowd noise, commentary and little details all sound so much better. My family’s first reaction was basically laughing at how loud it can go. I’m using it with a Samsung 80 inch TV on a table stand, and the whole setup looks and sounds perfect. I only played around with the bass and rear speakers a little bit and that was enough. No real negatives so far. It’s honestly blown my mind how good it is.

After receiving this product I installed this which was an easy setup, dialogue is clear and the One app lets you tune things in quickly It’s an impressive soundbar with a powerful sound The detachable speakers make a huge difference difference and the subwoofer add a more punchy bass that brings movies to life It’s not one of the cheapest and surrounds need charging after long sessions of usage but the performance is brilliant Would recommend this to others

I don't just put them back on the bar; I feel a genuine relief that my minimal space remains minimalist, no tripping hazards, no visible dust traps. That's the real feature: digital sound without domestic chaos. Then there’s the bass, the 10-inch sub is a physical object that demands respect. While every review calls it a "beast," what I appreciate is its politeness. I was ready for an eviction notice, but the companion app's bass calibration function is shockingly precise. It didn't just reduce the rumble; it reshaped it, pulling the low frequencies out of the wall structure and keeping them layered in the room's atmosphere. Real Surround, Real Power
Warning: Once you use this thing, you’ll never want to go back to your TV’s speakers or basic sound bars again. They’ll sound like a tin can after this. The detachable speakers are genius. I love this feature. The rear surround speakers magnetically attach to the main bar and charge there. When it’s movie time, you just lift them off and pop them behind the couch. You get proper wireless surround sound with Dolby Atmos height effects for hours — no messy cables, no hassle. This thing is seriously powerful. It’s rated at 960W max, and you can feel it. The 10-inch subwoofer is massive and delivers bass you don’t just hear, you feel. Explosions hit hard, and music sounds deep and rich. And this isn’t fake surround sound either. It’s true 7.1.4. Planes flying overhead or rain falling in a jungle scene sound incredibly real. The built-in calibration also makes setup super easy and quick. It’s fully loaded for modern setups. Multiple HDMI inputs, eARC, plus AirPlay 2 and Chromecast support. I can easily stream music from my phone even when the TV’s off. Design-wise, it looks great. Really sleek and modern under the TV. I’m glad it comes with very stylish and a simple remote for quick volume and source changes. Now for the downsides: the app doesn’t have those nice preset EQ modes like “Movie” or “Night.” You have to tweak the sound yourself. Also, while the detachable rears use USB-C, JBL doesn’t include power adapters for them — so if you want them plugged in permanently at the back, you’ll need to use your own chargers.

Immersive Home Cinema experience
The JBL Bar 1000 MK2 has transformed my living room completely in to a home cinema. It allows me to see an incredible difference when its on compared to the standard sound that comes from the TV. The whole room is filled with detailed, rich audio that allows me to feel the dimension of audio. The rear speakers are detachable and wireless, it seamlessly snaps off and snaps back on, these speakers add to the surround experience as I can place them in different parts of the room to feel a full surround experience and when it’s not needed I can put it back on the dock to charge. The performance is effortless and gives a clean look due to the wireless aspect. The set up takes a few moments and I am able to play directly from my phone via the app The Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 setup and powerful subwoofer makes music and movies sound extraordinary, the dialogue is crisp, the bass is deep and there doesn’t seem to be loss of quality when pushing the volume up. This is an immersive experience which I am taken aback with every time

My favorite soundbar has just received an upgrade
I previously owned the JBL Bar 1000 and was blown away by how impressive it was, I've actually gone back and found the review I gave of that product; ** Previous review of MK1 ** So much better than my previous setup! As someone who thought they had a decent home audio setup (an amp and pair of floor-standing speakers), the JBL Bar 1000 is night and day in terms of sound immersion. From the moment I set it up, it was clear that this soundbar was in a league of its own. You know what blew me away at first? The sound felt like I was sitting in a cinema, right in my own living room! Those extra speakers on the main bar and the ones you can take off make the sound feel like it's coming from all around you, even from above. It's just mind-blowing! The sub packs some serious punch. There were moments when watching Guardians Of The Galaxy where I physically jumped due to the effect of the bass. Although with that, I do have to be mindful of the volume so as not to annoy the neighbours. One of my favourite aspects is the detachable rear speakers. As this soundbar is in my living room, I don't always want to surround sound on, but being able to simply place these battery-powered speakers behind me without fussing over wires and power connections gives me the flexibility to adapt my setup for when I want that home cinema experience. Films with dolby atmos and gaming are just so much more immersive. I think when playing games you notice the effect more, it really changes the experience. While setting up, I did face a hiccup in getting my Apple TV and Xbox audio perfectly in sync with the soundbar. Connecting them directly to the soundbar solved the issue, but it's something to be mindful of, particularly if you're not tech-savvy. And, of course, there's the cost. This is a premium piece of kit, and the price reflects that. All in all, the JBL Bar 1000 offers amazing sound without taking up as much space as a dedicated amp and speaker setup, I can't believe it's taking me this long to get one. ** Review of MK2 ** And I think it's useful to read that past review for context, because really this version seems like an incremental change on paper, the specs seem very similar, however, there are some real noticeable differences in sound. This version is (surprisingly) even better! The rear speakers just seem so much better, the whole soundbar also looks much better, I much prefer the rounded shape, especially the subwoofer. If you already have a MK1 is it worth the upgrade? Possibly not, but if you are considering a MK1 vs a MK2 I would definitely recommend you choose the newer version. I'm really pleased with this soundbar it really does make such a huge difference, movies especially are just so much more immersive and I wouldn't like to go back to just watching movies with the speakers inbuilt to the TV.

Great Soundbar with wireless surround speakers
I tied the new JBL Bar 1000MK2 on my 65" TV, the speaker bar is huge and makes it feels like as if it is made for the 65" or more screen size. Aesthetically it looks good with its minimum user input buttons. the under screen display hides nicely behind the speaker grill to give it a minimal look. Now, coming to the sound output, I have connected my TV to the soundbar via HDMI -eARC input. I use this specifically for minimum sound latency, as I was fed up with the Bluetooth sound delay. The soundbar is very loud and clear when it comes to music and 2.1 sound stage. The Subwoofer produced a very good bass response; it managed to rumble my windows, but I felt that the subwoofer output was not very tight but more booming effect. As this speaker has detachable surround sound, I tried that. You have to mandatory calibrate the speakers so that the soundbar can estimate the surround speaker placement. I felt that the surround speakers struggle with the volume output, JBL has not provided individual speaker volume control in the app, I hope this is something JBL will provide in the future. In surround mode, I struggled to hear the dialogues, had to crank up the volume to actually hear what the person spoke on television, but doing that, the subwoofer increases its output, so do the other speakers; this spoils the sound stage in my opinion. As a final verdict, it’s a good surround speaker, but it may not be the perfect soundbar.

The JBL Bar 1000MK2 is one of those soundbars that really makes you go “wow” the first time you use it. The sound is powerful, clear, and totally fills the room — you can actually feel the bass from the big wireless subwoofer. What I love most is the detachable rear speakers. You just pop them off, place them behind you, and suddenly you’ve got proper surround sound like in the cinema. When you’re done, you can even use them as little Bluetooth speakers in another room — super handy! Setup is quick and simple, and the JBL app makes it easy to fine-tune the sound to your room. Movies sound incredible, with explosions, voices, and background music all perfectly balanced. Music sounds great too, though if you’re really picky about tiny details, it might not be quite “audiophile” level. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice if you want cinema-quality sound at home without the mess of wires or a complicated AV system. It’s fun, easy to use, and honestly turns movie nights into a real experience.

The Ultimate Home Theater Upgrade
I recently upgraded from a smaller BAR, and this soundbar has completely changed movie nights for me. The bass from the added woofer makes the whole room shake, and it’s the first time a soundbar has genuinely felt cinematic. The detachable speakers are the magic trick. Just pop them off the bar and place them around your room, giving the feeling of a real theatre, especially with Dolby Atmos supported out of the box. What surprised me most is how flexible this system is. When the kids are asleep, Night Listening lets me move both wireless speakers closer and shuts off the main bar and sub, so I still get clear sound without disturbing anyone. Setup felt straightforward and thoughtful. The detachable speakers are rechargeable and can be placed almost anywhere, plus the system offers a plethora of connectivity options: multiple HDMI ports including eARC, Optical, LAN, and Wi‑Fi casting.
