The book offers a practical perspective, without delving into abstract theoretical discussions or issues which, despite being relevant in other contexts, are less so in the diplomatic field.

About the Author

Mario J A Oyarzábal is the Legal Adviser of the Argentine Foreign Ministry since 2025, previously also between 2016 and 2020. He is also member of the UN International Law Commission, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and the Institut de Droit international.
