About the Author

Tasha Spillett (Cree and Trinidadian) is an award-winning poet, scholar, and writer. She is the author of several celebrated bestselling books for young readers, including Raven's Ribbons with art by Daniel Ramirez. She makes her home in Treaty 1 territory, Manitoba, where she lives with her family.

Michaela Goade (Tlingit) has been awarded a Caldecott Medal, a Caldecott Honor, and is a #1 New York Times bestselling artist.
