Book Synopsis
If your entire life was online against your will--if everyone knew about your potty training, your first breakup, and even your coming out story--how would you feel?
I Didn't Ask For This follows the members of Not Your Baby Anymore, a group of kids who share one thing in common: their parents are social media influencers who have shared their entire lives online. The group forms a chosen family as each member struggles with how to break away from a life and fame that they didn't ask for and do not want.
About the Author
Jennie Wood is a non-binary author, musician and creator of the Flutter graphic novel series. Flutter was named one of The Advocate's best LGBTQ graphic novels of the year, a Barnes & Noble book of the month, a Virginia Library Association Diversity Honor Book and published as a collection by Dark Horse. Their work can be seen in several anthologies, including the Eisner award-winning Love is Love, Planet Comics, and John Carpenter's Tales for a Halloween Night.
Josh Cornillon is a GLAAD and Ringo award winning comics creator and teacher from Nice, France, now living in New York City. He's worked with IDW, Dark Horse, Mad Cave, and more. When he's not obsessing over comics (a rare instance), he's probably making his own ice cream, or watching a Real Housewives show.
Michael Wiggam is a colorist with over 17 years of experience. His work includes Star Wars: Clone Wars, Marvel Pride, and the Love is Love anthology. His work has appeared in the pages of every major US publisher and abroad. Alongside his comic work, he is an adjunct professor of Foundations and Illustration.
Brought up on the wrong side of the tracks in a bustling metropolis in Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada - Charles is really terrible at writing biographies of his life and trimes. Someday he will retire, think about writing his memoir and then put it off until it's too late. He currently lives in Canada's smallest - and best - province, where he is outnumbered by powerful women in his own home.
