Hostile Intent - (Danger Never Sleeps) by Lynette Eason (Hardcover)

This book was absolutely amazing and I was completely riveted from beginning to end! Clean Christian romantic suspense with lots of drama. Throughout the book there are mentions of killings from a serial killer and war killings, and nothing graphic but it can still be upsetting at times. This was one of those books I read in one day with no interruptions because I was so involved in the characters and plot that I didn't want to stop. I liked reading about the other girls that were mentioned in previous books but each book can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed getting to know Caden and Ava and watching their friendship grow as events grew more intense and the plot thickened. This book and this series is one that I will keep on my bookshelf to read again. I absolutely loved it! I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. This is only the second book that I've read by this author and it affirms what I thought after reading the first book. "This gal can write!" From the first sentence to the last, Lynette Eason kept me turning the pages to see what was coming next. Hostile Intent is filled with suspense, intrigue, and scene after scene of action and danger. Ava Jackson finds herself being hunted and FBI Special Agent Caden Denning pledges to protect her, but it's apparent that it won't be easy. There are intense scenes that made me wonder if the good guys would actually win, and there are other moments when I found myself actually holding my breath! Hostile Intent is also a fascinating study of a friendship that many wish for, and a sweet romance that most of us long for. Ava, who has never had a third date, and Caden, who would love to be Ava's permanent date! Can he keep her safe long enough to achieve this goal? Twists, turns, and numerous secrets make this a thrilling story that you won't want to miss. I recommend it to all who enjoy clean romantic suspense. I received a copy of this book from Revell Reads. After reading the first three books in the Danger Never Sleeps Series I could not wait to get my hands on Caden’s story! Who doesn’t love a protective big brother? He had no trouble winning my heart not too long after I met him. I was dying to see what type of woman would be the one capture his heart. As it turns out, Ava is the type of person we all want to be. She is physically fit, able to hold her own in a fight, and also incredibly smart. If she wasn’t all those things I might be tempted to think she isn’t good enough for Caden, but she’s proven herself worthy. Hostile Intent was impossible to put down. It was heart breaking, terrifying, and yet also romantic. I love trying to figure out a good mystery and this one kept me on my toes. I enjoyed watching Ava and Caden’s chemistry and how they played off of; and learned to lean on each other. This story completely took me by surprise! There were so many unexpected twists and I loved playing detective right along with them. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Romantic Suspense. This novel was a great addition to the series, but I would say it can also be read as a stand alone. Lynette Eason is one of the best, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
