HOM Astronomical Telescope - 360° Rotational Telescope - Multiple Eyepieces Included for Adjustable Magnification

Bought this on sale for my grandson’s birthday so I didn’t open it until now and I wish I had read the reviews before buying it. No instructions so it took some time to get it together even though my husband is familiar with telescopes. He was disappointed because he said it was just like looking at the moon without the telescope and now it’s past the return time so I don’t know what to do. We were hoping to see the craters on the moon. Stuck with something we can use!

It works great for a regular telescope, but despite the image on the box showing a picture of earth I was disappointed to find myself unable to get the whole earth in frame. Probably my own fault.

Great for the whole family!! What impresses me the most about this telescope is how much my family is into it, especially my son who is back from college. It comes with everything you need like three eye pieces, tripod etc. Spark your families curiosity!

I bought this product for my son who loves looking at the stars. It arrived package excellently. It works great even with th city lights. It is easy set up even for a young kid.

I really like this telescope. It’s small and can be left up but doesn’t take up too much space. The phone holder is nice and it works great. The instructions were not super clear. I admit I’m not the best at putting things together, but it would have been better for them to have a couple more steps (like unscrewing a small piece before you attach it) and for the pieces to come how they are shared in the pictures.

Could not see anything

Was super exited to gift this however it didn’t come with instructions it is easy to set up buy a picture of some instructions would up the set up process. I also would like to say that it is not phone compatible with the latest model of iPhone being a iPhone 4 which stopped being made in 2013 so that sucks I bought this so it could be used to connect to our phones . This was almost 200 dollars not worth it .

I got this a few weeks ago and have been playing with it on and off. I’ve got 3 kids who I believe would like using it, but I need to understand it first. The manual could be more complete. It goes into basic setup but there are additional pieces which they show but don’t into detail so one needs to guess at how they are used (Erecting Eyepiece and Barlow Lens). I guessed that the moon filter went on the eyepieces when looking at the moon - but they didn’t show that. Those other parts I believe I know how they are used, but it would be nice if the manual confirmed. I would also suggest HOM make usage videos and link those to the product pages for those product which are a little more complicated. There is an attachment for your phone. Here again I had to figure out how that got attached. It’s not described in the manual. I have not taken any pictures yet. As far as image. I’ve seen the moon and that looks fine. But I need to use it further to better understand how to get the best out of it. The verdict is out until I get better acquainted with it. HOM products I have used have been very good so I expect this one will be too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids love this thing. They use it almost daily for looking at different things. It’s easy to set up and it’s not huge so you don’t have to take it apart and move it out the way everyday. Really like it.

I have always loved looking at the stars and always wondered how I can see a little closer without a huge telescope and this telescope answers that! It comes with different focal lengths and the attachment for a phone is awesome! It does take some work to get the phones camera in the right place, but once its on..it's amazing! I also really like that the tripod can be adjusted to all different lengths so my young boys can use it at the right height for them as well as the right height for an adult. All and all I think this is a great telescope for anyone looking to get a closer look at the moon and stars while also needing something compact.

Easy to use and well made telescope with great attachments for star gazing

The magnification and detail is incredible and on a clear night you can see some amazing views. I love the steady phone holder so you can capture the images too.
