Boring
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy quality was poor and my child was bored with the toy. It really doesnt do much and fell apart easily. Not a very exciting toy that can be played with over and over. Over all review is that it is very plain, and not very entertaining for my child.

Suitable for 2-3 yrs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its a small spider with distinctive crawling motion which provide simple entertainment. The spiders crawling motion looks surprisingly lifelike and fun to watch. Good for kids who like creepy crawlies. My 6 yr old however got bored of it..wish it came with a remote to control it would have been more fun and interactive

Fun for a couple minutes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this for free in exchange for a review. My son was extremely excited to open this. Easy to figure out, and was fun for about two minutes. It walks around but cant climb over anything. Battery died after about 5 minutes.

Cute little toy, but requires creativity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Turning the Hexbot SkitterBot Spider on can be a bit tricky, but it's quite active once it's operating. The webbing shaped piece that attaches to the bottom keeps the spider upright and operating smoothly in open spaces. My child found the toy cute, she liked the triple eyes. We found a bit of fun using the SkitterBot to make movies with our other SpinMaster toys (Sorry, Gabby!)

Toddler LOVED it until it stopped working
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 year old was so excited for this and honestly LOVED it and couldnt get enough of it . For 15 minutes and it started buzzing or humming and no longer moving. We thought maybe the batteries as it had been sitting in the cold from delivery so we swapped them but still did not move and would hum or buzz. Then it would just do nothing until randomly buzzing again with no movement. Super bummed as this is our first experience with the Hex Bugs and its a concept my kiddo would really enjoy but this wasnt a great experience. Thankful for the opportunity from Spin Master!!!

Very Skittery!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old found it fun and funny to watch, especially since it somewhat resembles a spider like creature which he knows his mom does not like! It has very thin legs resembling wirey spider legs but seems somewhat durable and quality seems good. It did get stuck if bumping into things or the wall but it wasnt a problem to turn it around and kept my son following it. Very entertaining and did keep my sons attention for a while! Would definitely try out other Spinmaster toys!

Mighty little skitter!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a welcome surprise! The packaging was easy to open and with batteries included this Skitter was ready to go, right out of the box. The actual toy is lightweight but great quality. It is easily operated by an on/off switch on the underside of the skitters body. It comes with one additional piece required to propel the skitter forward, so dont forget to insert that into the body of the skitter to work properly. My song and daughter loved following and dancing along with this small, but mighty Skitter! Thanks to Butterly and Spin Master for sending this to me for review!

Hex Bots Skitter Bot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hex Bots Skitter Bot is a fun little toy thats honestly pretty entertaining. It zips around really fast and moves in random directions, which makes it funny to watch and mess around with. Its super easy to usejust turn it on and let it go. Great for quick fun, especially if you like toys that dont involve a screen.

It has light up eyes which makes it cool to sneak around and prank her siblings. It's a great gift for both boys and girls ages 4-8. This was kid approved and I would definitely recommend!

Didn't work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately our product did not seem to work instead of having the legs move when placing it on the floor, just the body moves around in a circle. Which means the product does not work as advertised. We tried it on several different types of floors. Hardwood, tile, carpet and it didn't work with any of them.

Moves just like a real bug!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hex bots by Spin Master really are the masters at making toys move like real bugs! This fun toy skitters around your house wildly, while your child chases it. The colours and quality are definitely what you would expect from Spin Master Toys. It comes in two different colours, we got the green and purple one. It also comes with batteries, so it can be played with right out of the box. This would be perfect for younger children as it did not capture my 10 year olds attention for long. We got this item for free for our honest review.

Fun toy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was very excited to play with the spider bot! He had a lot of fun with it for the 20 minutes the battery that it came with lasted. The spider bot was able to move on carpet and tile floor and even on bedding. The spider feels delicate but has slightly flexible legs. My son is asking for more batteries to keep playing with it.

So much fun for my kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids have been bringing this toy everywhere. They have created obstacles for the spider with other toys. Its so great for stem. The long legs allow for it to climb easily over building blocks and other things on the floor. It was fun for the kids to build different things and see if the spider can climb over it. Its has been loads of fun!

Unique and Fun
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out adoptive son is 4 years old and he absolutely adores anything bug related, so what a great idea for a simple toy for a spider-loving child! It's simple and easy for him to play with and he enjoys incorporating the SkitterBot Spider into his pretend play. He also enjoys pretending to scare me with it much to his delight! The way it's designed, it really does work on any terrain. Our son loves setting up his cars and trucks and then having the SkitterBot Spider crawl over everything scaring everyone. It's a fun little toy and unique so adds a bit of mix to his typical car/truck toys.

A fun little toy that got some laughs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son really enjoys playing with his HEX BOTS SkitterBot Spider that we received for free from Spinmaster Toys and Butterfly. It skitters and bounces around. He loved setting it to go down the stairs because it would right itself and carry on. It also seems fairly indestructible which is another pro for my son. I thought it didn't run well on the hardwood but my son thought it was funny and watched it bounce and slide. I don't know if this will hold his interest for a very long time but maybe it will be brand new again when he can take it outside.

Kept them entertained

Hex Bots Spider is a big hit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have been playing with "Skitter Bot" constantly since it arrived from Spin Master Toys. This Hex Bot is amazing; the long legs of the spider and the antennae keep it moving forward, backward, and jumping around when it hits a dead-end. It has a harder time moving on slippery smooth surfaces but on carpet &/or a bed or couch, it will put a smile on anyone's face. This toy is a big hit for young children and older alike ( adults too ). I will definitely buy it again as a birthday gift.
