The spiders crawling motion looks surprisingly lifelike and fun to watch. Good for kids who like creepy crawlies. My 6 yr old however got bored of it..wish it came with a remote to control it would have been more fun and interactive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Turning the Hexbot SkitterBot Spider on can be a bit tricky, but it's quite active once it's operating. The webbing shaped piece that attaches to the bottom keeps the spider upright and operating smoothly in open spaces. My child found the toy cute, she liked the triple eyes. We found a bit of fun using the SkitterBot to make movies with our other SpinMaster toys (Sorry, Gabby!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 year old was so excited for this and honestly LOVED it and couldnt get enough of it . For 15 minutes and it started buzzing or humming and no longer moving. We thought maybe the batteries as it had been sitting in the cold from delivery so we swapped them but still did not move and would hum or buzz. Then it would just do nothing until randomly buzzing again with no movement. Super bummed as this is our first experience with the Hex Bugs and its a concept my kiddo would really enjoy but this wasnt a great experience. Thankful for the opportunity from Spin Master!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old found it fun and funny to watch, especially since it somewhat resembles a spider like creature which he knows his mom does not like! It has very thin legs resembling wirey spider legs but seems somewhat durable and quality seems good. It did get stuck if bumping into things or the wall but it wasnt a problem to turn it around and kept my son following it. Very entertaining and did keep my sons attention for a while! Would definitely try out other Spinmaster toys!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hex Bots Skitter Bot is a fun little toy thats honestly pretty entertaining. It zips around really fast and moves in random directions, which makes it funny to watch and mess around with. Its super easy to usejust turn it on and let it go. Great for quick fun, especially if you like toys that dont involve a screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately our product did not seem to work instead of having the legs move when placing it on the floor, just the body moves around in a circle. Which means the product does not work as advertised. We tried it on several different types of floors. Hardwood, tile, carpet and it didn't work with any of them.

It offers hours of endless fun as the spider moves across the floor. The spider is lightweight and moves seamlessly across different terrains.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was very excited to play with the spider bot! He had a lot of fun with it for the 20 minutes the battery that it came with lasted. The spider bot was able to move on carpet and tile floor and even on bedding. The spider feels delicate but has slightly flexible legs. My son is asking for more batteries to keep playing with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son really enjoys playing with his HEX BOTS SkitterBot Spider that we received for free from Spinmaster Toys and Butterfly. It skitters and bounces around. He loved setting it to go down the stairs because it would right itself and carry on. It also seems fairly indestructible which is another pro for my son. I thought it didn't run well on the hardwood but my son thought it was funny and watched it bounce and slide. I don't know if this will hold his interest for a very long time but maybe it will be brand new again when he can take it outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have been playing with "Skitter Bot" constantly since it arrived from Spin Master Toys. This Hex Bot is amazing; the long legs of the spider and the antennae keep it moving forward, backward, and jumping around when it hits a dead-end. It has a harder time moving on slippery smooth surfaces but on carpet &/or a bed or couch, it will put a smile on anyone's face. This toy is a big hit for young children and older alike ( adults too ). I will definitely buy it again as a birthday gift.

It took a second to figure out what to actually do, but once we did - we had a blast! Its so funny to watch it flip and flop all over the place and to watch my kiddos chase it around. Because of its configuration, the lightweight legs of the spider allow it to bounce when hitting obstacles or falling from heights. As a homeowner, Im also not concerned with it causing damage to floors, walls, etc. it doesnt do much other than move forward so is best for younger, very imaginative kids with longer attention spans. My 7 yr old enjoyed it more than my 11yr old who got bored with it faster until I would suggest what they could do with it. Most of their play with it involved determining what it could do (can it go down stairs, can it climb over a pillow, can it follow a straight line, etc). We also all observed that it really does move around like a spider. Its noisy because the legs are constantly spinning, but doesnt bang in to things and make loud noises. The quality is good and it was beyond easy to set up. Overall, it intrigued my kids, but I dont see them going back to play with it time and time again. We are fans of HexBots and would be interested in additional toys from Spin Master. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This HexBug Skitterbot Spider is pretty fun for ages 4+. It comes with battery installed, so just open and play! My son has a few HexBots, and they're good for solo play. or play with friends. It is lightweight and not noisy (a bonus for parents!). The Skitterbot is "all terrain" and we can confirm it works on carpet and hard surfaces. This would be a great gift for any kid who likes bugs, robots, moving toys, and/or science!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves it that he wanted to collect all Hex Bots good to introduce this to kids who might be interested on robotics. Just that the attachable plastic stand seems too thin that you need to carefully attach to the toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was very excited to open this toy, having played with the wall crawler gecko already. He could wait to turn it on and watch it move. However it was kind of lack luster. The bot skitters around the floor with the switch of an on/off button. It doesn't do anything else. You cannot control it, it does not go on the wall, etc. My son would probably rate the toy high but I have a feeling that after the initial play he will not reach for it again. Cool concept I guess, but not the best execution.
