Save Your Scalp!!
I have used herbal essences for years without any issues. A few years ago, I started religiously using their sulfate free line. It worked great on my hair, and I repurchased various products. My hair is thick and coarse- I’ve used countless products to tame it. I wouldn’t consider my scalp “sensitive” in the slightest. This shampoo + conditioner made my hair smell great, but left me with contact dermatitis. Buyer beware, as the formula(s) have clearly changed. Save your scalp and your money and buy from a different brand.

Best sulfate-free shampoo I've tried
I'm very picky about shampoo. I can't tolerate sodium lauryl sulfate, which has kept me from using most herbal essences shampoos. I do like the scents and the packaging though so I tried this sulfate free one and it's really good. Gets the product out of my hair, lathers well (don't use too much!), and rinses clean. A good choice for when I want to wash my fine curly hair but don't need to use a clarifying or dandruff shampoo. If you have fine hair and an oily scalp you might like this. If you have a very dry or sensitive scalp it might be too strong of a cleanser.

Not for fine/oily hair
This is one of the worst shampoos I have ever used. I’ve been searching for a good shampoo that will help with my fine/wavy hair and oily scalp. I’ve used this twice now and it will be going into the garbage can. It leaves a very waxy film on my hands and hair after using it that won’t come out no matter how much I rinse. I also noticed my hair looks great for a few hours and then looks like I haven’t washed it in days shortly after. My scalp felt more clogged than clean. I would not recommend this product to people with fine/thin hair, nor would I recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like that have a clean scalp.

This shampoo leaves my hair voluminous and shiny. In conjunction with the conditioner this shampoo leaves my hair beautiful and clean. The scent is a nice fresh citrus scent. The formula is light and doesn’t leave residue. Very lightweight but leaves my hair clean and fresh. Perfect!
