It rocks

Like all of our Henckle knives, they are just about as good as it gets. It has a really nice feel. Sometimes our eight inch chefs knife is a bit much for the job at hand. This a very nice alternative. It rocks!

Versatile and comfortable

Great quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful knife with a full tang. The handle has a nice heft to it. Cuts cleanly. Huge upgrade from the knives that I have been using which were pretty and colorful until the paint started chipping off the blades! Will never gave to worry about that with this knife.

great prep knife

This is such a useful knife at a great price. The forged German steel and Spanish construction make a strong blade that is very sharp. It stays sharp for a long time and is easy to maintain. The size of the blade is perfect for all smaller prep of vegetables and herbs. I like how the handle is offset allowing me to work with it easily in hand or on a cutting board. It really fits the space in my collection between my paring knife and chefs knife well.

This knife is awesome because it is a great value and made in Spain! The fully forged construction gives you some extra durability too. This 5.5 inch prep is wonderful for all prep needs- peeling, slicing, dicing, etc. It really makes life easier.

Classic knives are very popular because you get all the great features of the more expensive German made knives but these are manufactured in Spain so they have more of a value price. The forged bolster makes these strong, sturdy and well balanced. Made from high quality stainless steel these knives will resist corrosion and retain a nice sharp edge. I use my 5.5 inch prep knife all the time. I like that it is smaller than a chef's knive but larger than a utility/prep knife so it can tackle all my cutting, chopping and mincing tasks that don't need the extended reach of a longer blade.

Good Western style prep

This is a great knife simple prep work. The blade is excellent for slicing vegetables for salads, getting squash, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers ready to cook. The sharp blade makes fine slivers of herbs and thin slices of tomato. It's a very good quality knife. I really like Henckels Classic knives; I've had a set for more than 20 years. These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.

This very nice prep knife does so many tasks, it has become my go-to knife! Does the job of both small and larger knives; is super-sharp, a forged knife and has a handle for comfort and a good grip.

Great Small Knife

The prep knife is such a great size and shape. It can handle your small fruits and vegetables but with it's curved blade it can take larger chopping jobs as well. Classic is an awesome knife line; it's as close as you can get to the Pro knives made in Germany, at a fraction of the cost. They are super sharp, stay sharp and are very comfortable.

The 5.5 Prep Knife is made of German Steel and is a very good value for an Henckles knife. I use it to cut fruit and small vegetables like carrots and celery. Good everyday knife and holds is sharpness.
