When Damian feels lonely, he imagines what life was like when his mother and grandmother were middle schoolers like him. Through memories, stories, and daydreams, he feels closer to the mother he lost and begins to see the mother he found.

About the Author

Damian Alexander is a cartoonist and storyteller who grew up around Boston. He also created the graphic novels Other Boys and Absolutely Everything. When Damian isn't doodling or making comics, he can be found rearranging his dollhouse and caring for his terrariums. Damian lives in New England with his husband and their cat and dog.
