Not for young girls!
Received this book as a gift. And I do not believe it is appropriate for children of any age. It discussed she/them pronouns and insinuated same gender relationships on a different page. The main character on most pages appears to be non binary and has a “them/she” badge on her. My child asked if it was a boy when the book is about girl power. This is not an agenda we need to be showing our children. I understand it’s a poem that was previously written but did not need to be turned into a book. It’s also not easy to read or understand for young girls.

A Miss for Me
I love Amanda Gorman, but this one missed the mark for me. I appreciate her progressive stance, but I feel it has a time and a place wherein it is appropriate. I had gotten this for my 3 year niece, but chose to return it after reading through. Still a huge fan of Gorman, and maybe others will find it appropriate.
