Ghirardelli Gourmet Class Brownie Mix
My husband has tasted all the brands of brownie mix from our local stores. He, a discerning chocolate connoisseur, enjoys Ghirardelli mixes the most because of the true chocolate taste intensity. I, a carb-watcher, enjoy the intense chocolate aroma while it bakes. Once hubby has baked a pan full, it doesn’t last long: for him, it’s a breakfast pastry, lunch dessert, and late night snack, sometimes with vanilla ice cream. That being said, he isn’t overweight, all his blood work is normal, and so is his blood pressure. Pretty good for a 84 y.o. man, eh?

I’ve tried a lot of brownie mixes, but the Ghirardelli Chocolate Supreme one is my absolute favorite. The brownies come out super fudgy and rich every single time, with that shiny crackly top that looks straight out of a bakery. The little packet of chocolate syrup you mix in makes a big difference it gives the brownies this deep, real chocolate flavor that doesn’t taste artificial at all. They’re easy to make, and the smell while they’re baking is amazing. I usually underbake them a tiny bit so they stay extra gooey in the middle. If you serve them warm with ice cream, they honestly taste homemade.

The Very Best Brownie Mix
You can't go wrong. The flavor is deep and purely chocolatey, in a way most US products don't manage. This is made here, I believe, but maybe Ghirardelli oversees it or something. There's none of that funny taste we usually find in American chocolate; it's just sheer goodness. Makes a very fudgy brownie prepared as directed. You can add another egg, reducing water accordingly, to get it a bit more, well, brownie-like, if that's your preference (it is mine). It still won't be cakey.
