[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hopefully, this microwave will last longer than 1 year, the heating element must have burnt-out, the microwave spun, but did not heat-up to cook or reheat; reason we just bought another GE Profile microwave, as it was a built-in model.

Although the microwave works as expected in heating up food, the button to open the door is plastic and mine kept popping off. The button attaches to the microwave by two flimsy springs, so even when I replaced the springs the button would still, at times, pop off if the door wasn't closed gently. I loved the look and quality of my last GE microwave which has since been discontinued. The button was metal and never popped off.

Not durable
My microwave came with the new house we purchased in 2023 in December 2025 I have to replace it due to issues with the finish/corrosion on the interior

Yet another replacement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is our fourth GE Profile microwave in fourteen years. Original was a new home builtin installation. So far, all I can say is that this one works -- for now. The last one blew a fuse within the one year warranty and then the magnetron tube went out two weeks ago. Not really sure why we keep replacing with GE except that we're trying to match the builtin oven below.

The install of the trim kit was more difficult than it needed to be. That is mostly due to getting the screws that connect the trim frame in place. The design could be better. Otherwise, we really love this microwave!!!

Very Pleased
This MW replaces a 10-year Profile, Model PEB7226SF2SS. Would prefer that the new MW have a light colored interior. Also do something to reduce the "tinny" sound when closing. Other than that, we are pleased.

Average Microwave that hasn't broken yet.

Great for 2 years, then sparks and scary sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as part of my Profile appliance package with my new construction. It was great for just over 2 years, then started causing sparks with a loud noise. There was no metal in the microwave, but it left a dark mark on the plate next to the microwave. I thought maybe it was a fluke, did a good cleaning and it worked normal for 2 uses, but then had the big sparks and noise again, within 5 seconds of starting it up again. For a higher end microwave I am really disappointed and hesitant to replace it with the same model, despite knowing it should last 8-10 years. Looking online, everyone says it is cheaper to buy a new microwave than have someone try to fix it. Reading other reviews, someone with the same microwave the same age as mine has the exact same issue. Worried about this being a larger issue than a one off fluke.

Cracking Wave Guide Cover
We have had this microwave for less than 2 years and it’s already sparking inside. The wave guide cover is cracking by itself! What a fire hazard! We have owned KitchenAid and Bosch and never had this problem before in previous houses that we’ve lived in.
