Curtains are great at keeping light out and we noticed that when closed during the day, it keeps the room cooler too.

Keeps out the outside light making it easier to sleep.

These are nice curtains with a satin backing which makes the curtain less bulky than a liner. This also helps save the curtain from sun damage. nice strong texture, not flimsy. I got a few colors in these curtains. The COPPER BROWN seems to have a little rose tint. I was looking for more for a gold undertone. And so I kept the curtains NAMAD TAN. The only thing is that they are not 96" which upon measuring my wall, it's exactly 96". I wanted them to "kiss" the floor. These are at least 97, maybe 98". So they drag a little on the floor. Quality control doesn't mean the same in other countries as it does in the U.S. But better than being 2" shorter and looking like flood pants! Which is what I took down to replace with these curtains. If you don't have a garment steamer, than iron on low with a thin cloth between the iron and curtain before putting these up.

Just did not look very sheer once up. Will use for now but certainly will change next yr.

The colors and pattern is so pretty! I personally didn't want a super heavy thick curtain, so I don't mind that they are sheer and lightweight. You can definitely see through them as shown in my pictures, but I live in a very rural area so I don't worry about anyone being able to see through them, and for the summer the weight is fine. Also, I really don't care for the little tassels on 3 sides but that's my personal opinion, my cat however LOVES the tassels so I may end up cutting them off, before he rips them off. The only negative I have, and why I didn't give 5 stars is because the patterns don't match up on the 2 panels. When they're open you can't tell, but when they are pulled closed it is blatantly obvious. As a matter of fact, I took a picture and and sent it to my best friend to show them off, and it's the first thing she noticed, and you can see it in the picture I posted, which is the same picture I sent her. I had already seen that, but it might bother some buyers. Also there is only one rod pocket so unless you sew a new pocket you can't easily match them up, and if you do raise them to make the patterns even, then you have to shorten the other side, it could turn into a real hassle. I really like these curtains and they are going to work for me, but take the pattern matching problem into consideration before you order them.
