Great set of garden beds!
I am new to outdoor gardening, and have primarily been an indoor plant person for the entirety of my life, and decided this is the year to create a vegetable garden and cut flower garden. Measurements are VERY close to accurate, measuring at 10’ 2” x 1.5’ x 3’ 11” Pros: - these CAN be assembled with just 1 person if needed (I’d STRONGLY suggest the assistance of another pair of hands, if available) - Easy to assemble - Comes with tools for assembly - Appears sturdy and well made - can be modified to be much larger OR smaller, by adding or removing panels from your raised bed. CONS: - painted portion of paneling is covered in a thin plastic film, which does not peel off easily (I have opted to let time and weather wear the plastic off, and slowly pick up all the pieces as they fall) - tools that come in the kit are, though nice— are not best suited for the job. (If you have access to a Phillips head screwdriver, and a ratchet set, it will be significantly sturdier and MUCH easier on your hands and wrists) - instructions are NOT the best, and only a pictorial is provided. In the future, I would love to see a written description of the instructions specifying the direction the screws should go, and details on how to align each panel, and additional context that bolts should be placed from the inside towards the outside to ensure if any loose bolts occur it’s MUCH easier to fix without disturbing your veg/flower root systems Assembly notes: - Use your own tools and save yourself the time, and hand strain! -If using duralast the size 10mm attachment fits the nut pieces. - When assembling the panels, instead of lining them up where they need to go, start from the leftmost curved panel, and slide each following panel over. Otherwise lining up the rivets/holes is a pain. - when placing bolts, secure both the top and bottom FIRST to ensure all remaining holes are aligned, if you assemble from top down the holes may become misaligned and impossible to put screws through both sections of panel - when screws are fully tightened there will be roughly 7mm of exposed bolts for non-support beam bolts, and 3.5mm of exposed bolt on support beams -assemble this inside, or on top of a large tarp (imagine finding the tape when wrapping presents… but in your lawn) Long and short of it, I was absolutely terrified to purchase from an unknown distributor with no reviews, and I am so very happy I did.
