I'm sure this is a great looking, functional TV stand. However, something I didn't realize, nor was it mentioned in the description. The top shelf is indicated to be 55", but when the box arrived, it was about 36". Top shelf is in 2 pieces. Upon learning this, I looked again at the picture of the item. Look very closely and you see the "seam" on the top shelf. I will not trust putting my pedestal TV on it. Sorry
