A: Hello Lisa! Yes, you can reuse these FoodSaver Handheld Vacuum Sealer Bags. Bags that previously contained fruits, vegetables, breads, and dry goods can be washed and reused. Bags that contained raw meats, fish, eggs, or un‑pasteurized cheese should be discarded after use because they may contain invisible bacteria that remain even after washing. Bags that held greasy or oily foods should also be discarded, as they can be difficult to clean properly. A: Hello Sandy, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes the bags can be immersed in boiling water, however, we do not recommend exceeding 212°F (100°C). This handheld sealer is compatible with all FoodSaver vacuum zipper bags and FoodSaver Fresh vacuum seal containers. These bags feature a specially designed valve that allows the handheld sealer to remove air and create an airtight seal. While the handheld sealer can also work with certain vacuum seal rolls, it's important to note that not all vacuum bags with a circle suction valve are compatible. For optimal performance and to ensure a proper seal, we recommend using FoodSaver-branded bags and rolls. Not worth the $
I’ve had 2 of these and one attached to the Foodsaver. All stopped working at approx 6 months. Not worth the $$ or aggravation. Went with another company that has a manual pump handle.

A Must Have in Every Kitchen!
I've had the countertop version of a FoodSaver in my kitchen for over 30 years and can't imagine not having one but having this little Handheld Sealer is a GAME CHANGER! I vacuum seal more than I ever have since adding the smaller unit to my kitchen. The ease of use and accessibility make this appliance Must Have in every kitchen no matter the size of your family. I highly recommend the FoodSaver Mini Handheld Vacuum Sealer!

Optimistic
I purchased this to replace one I had for just over one year and it stopped working, we loved it up to that point, I am hoping this one meets my expectation and last longer, otherwise it will be the last one I purchase.

Doesn’t work well for meats to sous vide. As soon as you release the vacuum the bag fills with a tiny amount of air and then expands even more once it’s placed in a water bath. Returning immediately.

hope this new and improved model is better
This is my 6th hand held, hoping this newer model charges better/correctly. Both of the other models just died, wouldn't hold charge etc after various amounts of time, none lasted more than year. I followed directions to only charge when needed but that didn't work, they still died. I gave it a 5 star because they're great when they work.

Great upgrade
Such an improvement from the original model. Much quieter and more efficient. I especially like the charging stand so I don’t have to fumble around trying to find the charging cord as was with the older model.

Very unhappy
The unit is a very poor investment. I've used it twice since I've had it the second time I used it it stopped working as if the battery stopped charging and placed it back in the charger had to place a piece of paper in front of the unit so it would make contact with the charging ports in the rear and then charged when I let it sit and I go to use it the buttons on the side seems to stick I have tried to register this unit on their web page and every time I put in the model number it rejects my information every time I call there phone number to talk to someone I get a voicemail so you can invest in this unit if you feel like wasting money but if you feel like doing that just send it to me so I can get reimbursed because it's really hard getting in touch with this company thank you God bless you and a have great holiday. Next time I will I do more research and invest in a different company and product but I really believed in this company and I was let down.

Not as good as I wanted it to be
Many inconsistencies between what is in the user guide and the actual product. Also very awkward to use. I vacuumed a piece of cooked fish, and now the sealer smells like fish every time I use it, in spite of it being cleaned according to the use and care instructions.

Used once and need to return

Great little device
I used to have one of the old units that was similar to this new one, but it did not have the suction power of this one., The new bags that it uses are remarkable and I love the little thing a majig that you run across the bags to seal them. I haven’t brought out my old unit that sits on the counter in quite some time. I won’t get rid of it as the bags for this new little unit are somewhat on the expensive side. But all in all it’s a great little unit. Glad I got it.

Little vacuum sealer
Not as good as I thought. It is advertised as being powerful and great. I followed the directions and charged it for 24 hours and the first time I used it, it worked great, but after that it doesn’t always shut itself off. You have to keep a pressure on it to keep it going. All in all not what I expected after reading the advertisement.

Great features
The new mini handheld vacuum is the answer to have both vacuum and marinate without having to get the larger unit out on the countertop. Once button is activated, the mini can be released and will hold vacuuming until pressed again. It’s larger than the unit replaced and seems durable. East to charge base and easy to keep clean if liquid enters the removable chamber.

I love the fact that it's so portable.
This is the second one of these I have bought because I love the convenience of it. It has great suction and it is small enough to fit in a drawer.
