Unfortunately, the directions mentioned an included C-clamp to hold the shovel together when storing but my shovel was missing the C-clamp.

I had a lot of shoveling to do, and have become obsessed with my True Temper 18” Snow Shovel. This shovel folds and can be tossed in your trunk for emergency purposes or used at home. My 10 year old son was able to assemble this bright yellow shovel and loved using it. With a sharp bladed edge, it did a great job scraping my sidewalk clean and the bright color is sure to not get lost in the snow. The 18” size was perfect for shoveling as it scoops a lot at once but doesn’t get too heavy. Overall this is my go-to shovel and it makes my snow removal job easier!

But before throwing this in the trunk and hoping we never had to use it I did test it out on the driveway and steps during the first two snows of the year. The folding mechanism is braced well and it is just as sturdy as our every day shovel (same brand). I wouldn’t think twice about having this as our only shovel it’s that well built. I do love the convenience of the fold not just to fit in the trunk but to take up less space in the shed over the summer when it’s not going to be in use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in central NY, we know snow. We just had our first lake effrct snow storm and we felt the impact of wet heavy snow. This shovel came through! I was nervous about the folding aspect having an effect on the durability, but it did not. Strong, but lightweight, this helped me power through the heavy, wet snow quickly and efficiently. The shovel is awesome because you can easily fold it up and keep in the trunk, so the space saving feature after you aew done is wonderful. Perfect for apartment dwellers or those who want to throw it in the trunk. My only concern it the plastic clip. I do worry this will snap eventually, I would suggest something more durable, but overall this is a tiny complaint.

I love the fact that the handle folds down for storing. Not tested on snow yet since there is none in Michigan right now, but I can imagine it will get the job done with no issues.
