I noticed the majority of the positive reviews are from a product promotion. Here’s a review from someone who didn’t get this for free: don’t waste your money, or at least not on the Cosmic Chrome color. It chips within a day, with or without a base/top coat, whether I wear it alone or layer it on top of another color. I an being generous by rating it 2 stars because the effect is actually really pretty and the formula goes on smoothly and streak-free. Other than that, do not ruin a good manicure with this polish that’s more sensitive than an eggshell.

Gorgeous and magical shimmery special effects top
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The most ethereal and gorgeous top coat i’ve ever tried! I LOVE the gorgeous blue and purple hues, as the sun hits my nails it lets off the most gorgeous color ever. The small pieces of shimmer glitter in the light and add such a fun layer of extra magic to all your nails. I put on only one layer of ethereal escape to my blue nails and it instantly elevated the look. The nail polish dries so quickly and only needs one layer to look wonderful! I tried putting multiple layers and it ended up looking multi-dimensional and amazing. It dries super quickly, and I felt as if my nails were much more chip resistant throughout the week. This regular manicure lasted over a week with no chips! Overall a great special effect top coat

The packaging is nice as well. The scent smells like nail polish, but not a strong scent. It dries quickly with a top & base coat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really loved this color . It’s such a beautiful topper shade. An iridescent blue/purple to pink . It’s beautiful on its own or on top of another color . I put mine over a mauve shade . It does take some time to dry but normal polishes usually do . It lasted very nicely without chopping or peeling off . The little bottle is pretty as well .

A sheer, shimmer/glitter nail polish is my go-to, and this couldn’t be better. I’ve been searching for a pink glitter polish, but I’ve only seen silver or gold glitters in a sheer pink base. Essie knocked this one out of the park for me. I love the subtle flash of pink. The formula is long-lasting, especially compared to other glitters/shimmers, which can flake off within a few days. It’s a durable, smooth finish. I worried about drying time which was mentioned in some reviews, but I didn’t have any problem. I can’t wait to try more colors!

I think this may work better as a top coat to add some shimmery shine to a flat color. But the whole vibe of this nail polish line is stunning. It was low odor compared to other brands, plus vegan ingredients.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Essie ethereal espape in purple gives a beautiful Halo graphic, and light reflective finish combined with any Essie nail color. It's shimmering and glittery, and sparkles like pearls. After applying the Essie( here to stay) base coat, I combined this glittery purple to my Expressive quick dry color Power Moves (deep pink). Both polishes combine gave a special effects multi dimensional look on the nails. I couldn't quit looking at my nails, and believe me the special effects go unnoticed. I received many compliments from family and friends. The ethereal espape can be used with any of the colors from the Essie collection.bit can be used alone, and layered as well. It's nail art at It's finest, and kudos to Essie for creating this beautiful nail polish. It's highly pigmented, and is a Vegan formula. I totally recommend this product, and you won't be dissatisfied.

That being said these specific colors are definitely sheer and would be best used as a top coat over an opaque color to add an opalescent shimmer
