Garbage
This product is just frustrating. I spend more time fussing with it, the bluetooth connection and just trying to get it to turn on and figuring out what pattern of lights means just on. I have to re-pair the thing every time I open the app I think all the options and the app might be great if you had a product that actually worked

Needs work on the ceramic
I received this cup as a gift in October. I have the white one. Unfortunately, from using a spoon, the whole bottom the ceramic is gone. The metal is showing through.Couldn’t get any help because I didn’t have a receipt to prove it. The cup worked great for about nine months and then it just wasn’t working properly. Make sure to use a wooden spoon if you were going to stir anything into your beverage..

Worthless…max temp is 145
Worthless! Mug won’t heat above 145…I still have to heat my coffee in the microwave in a separate mug every 30 mins to reach my desired temp of 165.

Gimmick coffee cup
It's a gimmick item. Works great for a while, but when the rechargeable batteries reach end of life, you're stuck with a coffee cup that's just like any other cup, except it shouldn't go in the dishwasher. Plus, the flimsy pins on the recharging pad - do take care in setting down the cup to charge, and keep the bottom of the cup very clean. Poorly designed/very fragile. Overall, the fact that you cannot easily replace the rechargeable batteries is a major turn off for every buying these again. Would also add a ding on the cup volume - using a K-cup on a small/medium/large type of Keurig, there is very little room for adding anything when using large (12oz).

Flaking coating - gently used
I have issues with the coating flaking off on the inside. I've always hand-washed the mug and only use plastic utensils. it's only been a few months and very disappointed with the flaking coating.

Nothing but issues
Doesn't charge past 75% and have to repair the mug to the app every time I turn it on. Seems I'm not the only one who has the issue according to all the reviews on the app.

Toxic mug?
I like the idea but there are two problems with the mug I got. First, the charging pins stick so that you can't make good contact between the coaster and mug to charge. I had to try a fix this with a dab of solder to raise the pin higher. Second, after a few months the coating started to come off. At first I was not concerned but then after using it for several more months I went to clean it out (hey hot coffee-- I just rinse) and all the coating came off the inside. So apparently I was swallowing the paint all this time. They claim it is ceramic, but ceramic would not peel off the way this stuff does.

Never reconnects to app :(
Disappointing app experience. After the initial pairing the app will never connect to the mug. (Pixel 9 pro xl) You may think you don't need the app - but you do if you want to view battery life or change the temperature set point. One star based on this being a premium product at a premium price. Bugs like this are unacceptable at this price point.

So Happy!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ember Mug – The Best Gift I’ve Used All Year I received my Ember Mug for Christmas in 2024, and after using it consistently for almost a full year, I can easily say it’s one of the most useful and well-designed gifts I’ve ever owned. From the very first day, it completely changed my morning routine. Instead of rushing through my morning drink before it cools off—or having to reheat it multiple times—I can set the exact temperature I enjoy and keep it there. It feels like having a tiny personal barista carefully maintaining my perfect cup. What I love most: Consistent temperature: My morning drink stays exactly how I like it from the first sip to the last. No reheating. No guessing. Just perfect. Beautiful design: Sleek, modern, and comfortable in the hand. It feels premium every time I use it. Long-lasting battery: I’m impressed with how long it holds a charge, especially after nearly a year of daily use. Smart features that actually matter: The app works smoothly, the temperature control is effortless, and everything feels intuitive. Surprisingly durable: After almost twelve months of use, it still works like the day I opened it. I didn’t realize how much a mug could improve my daily routine until I owned this one. Now I wouldn’t want to go without it. If you’re on the fence about buying it—or considering it as a gift for someone—you'll be glad you purchased it. Easily a 5-star product. One of my favorite gifts ever.

One Year Review
I've had this mug for about a year and use it at least 3 times a week. It works like it is intended to and I have had no issues.

Slimy residue on coffee and cup
I like the mug but it has one drawback. I nurse my coffee in the morning and if you use half and half, the mug seems to “cook” the half and half leaving a brownish slimy residue on the coffee which transfers to the side of the mug interior. Wouldn’t have wasted the money if I knew this.

Design Flaw
This is great when it works. The charging pad is a bad design. The little spring loaded pins break or stick which then prohibits the mug from charging. It is a manufacturing problem, but they don’t care as long as it works until the warranty is up.

Just what I needed
Great cup for keeping my coffee hot. In your average mug, my coffee would get cold and I was reheating it on most days. I am delighted in coming back to a hot cup of coffee after getting breakfast started.

Not impressed
Second mug. This one is less than a year old and as with the first one not working no matter what I do. So will probably not get another one. Will stick with my Mr, Coffee mug heater.

Durability Concerns with Heated Mug Coating
I've been using this heated mug for just over seven months, and unfortunately, the coating at the bottom has begun to flake off. I’ve only cleaned it with mild dish soap and a paper towel, so I’m surprised to see this kind of wear. It’s disappointing, especially given the product’s price and intended durability. I also hope the materials used in the coating are safe and non-toxic.
