She is an archaeologist and historian specialising in the ancient Roman history of the Late Roman Republic and early principate period. She is the author of Roman Discus Lamps: Studies in the Significance and Meaning of Gladiatorial Images (Institute of European Culture, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, 2015).
