Drive Medical Silver Sport 1 Wheelchair - Full Arms, Swing-Away Removable Footrest

Arrived earlier than expected, easy set up out of box. Comfortable, wheels are thinner, but will move easily. Would recommend.

Do not buy this wheelchair if you are hoping to use it independently without someone pushing you. I made a terrible mistake buying this wheelchair. First, it’s around 40 pounds. I can barely pick it up to load it in why car. Next, the armrests aren’t removeable so i cannot push it without my arm popping out of place. It also squeaks like a 300 year old rocking chair. I can’t even remove the wheels on the wheelchair too. atp you are better off getting this out a dumpster. This thing is so expensive but so cheaply made.

My Grandma was so pleased with this wheelchair. She said it was her “caddy” perfect size and she’s able to push it easily if she wanted to. Folds up nicely as well.

Just the right chair needed. Height is good, just the right width, not bulky. Love the back that lays down for easier loading in trunk of car.

The wheelchair is 95% complete straight out of the box, you just need to hang on the foot rests. Seems very well made and stores easily with the folding back.

Pros: lightweight no assembly required. Cons: the brake handles are severely difficult to secure in place. The overall size of the chair is smaller than most within the seat size. The height is higher from seat to ground and the arms are higher than most wheelchairs. It also leaves marks on your hands when you use it as you can see in the picture. Very narrow, your legs can bump these brackets on the side which are made strangely and actually can dig into your leg if you hit it wrong. I wouldn't recommend this for the outdoors because I feel like this thing could fall apart at any minute it squeaks and rattles all time. The weight capacity is 250 lb and I I'm only 131 lb and the thing squeaks like there's no tomorrow. I would recommend it as long as you're only using it for short distances. I use it around the house because my apartment is so small and I might go down in the elevator to get mail, but that's about it I would not take this outside I'm afraid it wouldn't handle the harshness of the sidewalks in Chicago.

less than 6 months old, and the nylon retainers for Heel Loops stripped out. Bad News, you have to buy the entire Heel Loop with retainers and screws. I have not even asked how much I will have to spend to replace the nylon retainers, but this is typical. Will not purchase another Drive Item again. Customer support was "sorry". Of course she could not just send the nylon retainers. #dissatisfiedwithdrive

Loved the chair I liked that it's easy to set up it's easy to drive around and how it folds and fits anywhere in my home

Excellent wheelchair, lightweight and easy to fold/unfold to place in car trunk. We are not pleased with how quickly the food rest pads broke and now the arm rest plastic has broken on one arm. Trying to find replacement parts for those two items has proven difficult. Have not yet found a source to obtain replacement parts. Neither item shows up as an item that can be purchased when searching online.
