About the Author

Juan Toro Barea (Morón de la Frontera, 1958) es escritor, conferenciante y profundo conocedor del arte jondo. Aficionado al flamenco desde la infancia, su pasión nace del entorno singular de su tierra, donde el toque de Morón no es solo un estilo musical, sino una forma de sentir el mundo. Durante décadas ha sido colaborador habitual de revistas especializadas como Sevilla Flamenca, entrevistando a figuras de la talla de Paco de Lucía, Camarón o Enrique Morente. Fue también crítico flamenco en El Observador de Barcelona y conductor de programas radiofónicos de difusión del flamenco en Cataluña. Publicó en 1996 Memoria Flamenca de un sentir andaluz, y ha pronunciado conferencias y participado como jurado en múltiples certámenes nacionales. Su relación personal con Dieguito de Morón --de amistad, aprendizaje y admiración-- le ha llevado a escribir esta Biografía del Duende, un retrato íntimo y sentido de un artista irrepetible, donde se funden la memoria, la emoción y la reivindicación.
