Description

This Vancouver, BC band is fronted by Daniel Bejar, the enigmatic founding member of New Pornographers. This is their Merge debut after releasing three LPs. The compositions are centered around Behar's oblique lyrics and vocal delivery-from low crackling sneer to high pitched wail. The band layers textures and rhythms, and reverb-tweaked guitar solos share space with melodica and synthesizer riffs, weaving an intricate sonic tapestry.
