Kinda gross, I think the texture is fine although a bit chalky. The flavor has a weird aftertaste the only way I can describe it is like a hint of throw up. Definitely not worth the price for me.

Truly the best bar! I love that it keeps me full enough between meals and tastes so amazing.

Beleive the reviews. This bar not good at all. Was hoping tat after a few bites it would grow on me- but alas no. There is ZERO peanut butter flavor, and really no chocolate flavor either. I was woo’ed by the low cal, high protein content. But I would rather eat more calories on a protein bar that tastes good. David Fudge Brownie a better option if you looking for the lowcal/high protein route. Or, better yet, just eat Barbells protein bars. They taste WAY better!!

I bought the peanut butter chunk. No PB flavor at all. Occasional chocolate flavor. Mainly tastes like salt. 🤢

This immediately had a terrible smell, but despite that I tried it anyways. I couldn’t even finish the bar, because the taste was that bad. It also had a terrible after taste that lasted for hours

This bar smelled like moldy dirt. It tasted pretty nasty. The texture was chalky. Couldn’t finish one bar. Absolutely horrible. I had to eat some chocolate cake to get the nasty after taste out of my mouth.

Fell for the advertisement, not good, I wouldn't recommend.

Ew, David! If I could give it zero stars I would. The instant coating on the roof of my mouth is just finally going away an hour after I took the single bite. The grossest bar I’ve ever had, and I’ve got very low expectations for protein bars in general. I expect them to be weird, but THIS... So disappointed. Can I get a refund?

Is been wanting to try these heavily-advertised bars, with their fancy gold wrappers and the shoutouts from well-known people, for awhile but wasn’t willing to pay the steep price. When I caught them on a deep sale i bought a box. I finally tried one and I found definite pros and cons. The good: I really liked the bar’s texture. It reminded me a little of the homemade “cookie bar” desserts that my mom used to bake when I was a kid. There was also something satisfying about the size and thickness of the bar; each bite felt substantial. The OK: I found the flavor to be fine. Not much peanut butter at all (I actually wondered whether I’d misremembered and had actually gotten something else like cookie dough flavor instead). One bite near the end tasted noticeably salty, as if ingredients weren’t well mixed. The bad: The first thing I noticed when I opened a bar was a distinct musty/moldy odor, I don’t think it was actually moldy, only that there is a strange essence to the bars. And it was there from beginning to end. To avoid it I had to be strategic about holding it away from my face when I inhaled, holding my breath when a took a bite, then exhaling as I chewed. The worst: the sugar alcohols (or possibly some other ingredient/s) took their toll on my gut and I could have cleared a room with my own odors by the end of the day. Yikes, and my apologies to anyone who was nearby that evening. Definitely not worth the high price, even if wrapped in gold. I won’t buy again.

Not only are these bars expensive but they are WAY too bland. They don’t even have that gross protein/healthy flavor. It’s like eating absolutely nothing with random pieces of peanut and salt in there. Totally wish I had not been influenced to try these. Waste of money for sure. Only positive was the bar did keep me full for a while!

This on-the-go snack or quick protein consumption food is great for overall meeting your protein macros as its low on fats, and calories. the texture is like raw cookie dough and tastes extremely dry and dense. Not the worst I've had. I'd probably buy again....but only opt for a quick protein intake reason. make sure you have water near by.
