This item is easy to use. It’s small and easy to store. It is perfect if you are trying to do a bonfire vibe indoors. It is electric, so it does take some time for it to actually heat your food items, causing you to stick them as close as you can to the metal plate which stains and burns. Beyond that it is worth the purchase, especially if you have younger children as it is safer than allowing them near an open flame. It comes with many useful items as well such as compartments to hold snacks and sticks for roasting.

Fun for the grandkids!
I bought this for my grandkids so they can make s'mores when at our house. They love s'mores or just toasted marshmellows but don't have the patience to sit around the bonfire during the summer, especially dealing with mosquitoes. This is also great during the winter. It takes a little longer to toast marshmellows but if you are patient, they can be toasted perfectly without catching on fire, which usually happens when toasting over a bonfire. I love that the little trays can be removed as well as the protective metal piece that covers the heating coil, for easy cleaning. We make "fancy" s'mores using Ghirardelli chocolate squares filled with caramel and different flavors and fillings to make it fun. I don't regret this purchase one bit.

Didn't do it right the first time
The marshmallows never really heated up the first time my kids and I tried it. Maybe 3-5 min wasn't long enough to preheat or we shouldn't have had all of our marshmallows over the heater at the same time. So I turned it off and let it cool. The second time we tried it, I preheated it for 7 min and toasted one marshmallow at a time and held it an inch over the center circle of the grate and... Great Success!!! It took 2m 30s to toast a large rectangular marshmallow, 1m 40s to toast half of a large marshmallow, and 1m 10s to toast a small marshmallow (the ones you put in hot chocolate). All marshmallows were spotty golden brown and delicious!

It looks like someone already opened the box since the box puffs out slightly. Disappointed since this is a Christmas gift and I can't get another one on time. Hopefully, it works well. Good price, but smaller than expected.

Couldn’t wait for it to get a little cold to use this product with my kids. Love how it came with compartments where I can place the cookies, marshmallows, etc. It also came with the sticks to hold the marshmallow. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The assembly was quick and the heat mechanism took about 5-10 minutes to warm up and another maybe 15-20 minutes to actually toast the marshmallow. Nonetheless the entire process was hassle free and effective. I forgot to add I was able to this in the comfort on my own home which is a PLUS!
