Cuisinart SPB-7CH SmartPower 40-Ounce 7-Speed Electronic Bar Blender, Chrome (Refurbished)

I received my Cuisinart Smart Power 7 Speed Blender and it looks great The glass is very thick & it works amazing., I am in love! Don’t think about it just get it!

After a few uses stoped working. Stinks like a dead fish after plugging it in the outlet. Don’t know if we just got a defective one or what but ours is horible.

I bought this a few years ago and I just started using it but why do I have to hold the button when I’m making something it won’t make anything unless I’m holding the button it’s not automatic it’s manual and I’m not happy

Worked well for about a year. Then, the unit wouldn't run when the jar was on it. The motor works fine until the jar goes on it. Then, it makes noise, won't turn the blade. and the motor shuts off. Reading other reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Don't buy this product.

For a Cuisinart appliance I am very disappointed with this blender. I was making a large batch of Toum (garlic mayo sorta) and it keep lighting up all the buttons and stop working. It will be ok to do anything thin but I doubt it will work on even a smoothie.

Thus replaces an older, simpler model. I like the optional functions. I was surprised when the blender suddenly stopped while blend8ngba thick smoothie. Other than that, I love it.

The helpful personnel on the phone made everything simple and efficient. Could not have been more pleased.

Absolutely great little machine. Great from blending fruit and juices. Variety of speeds, and I love the glass holder. Our family love it!

First of all, this Cuisinart is beautiful to look at! The silver chrome and black combine to make an impressive appliance on my kitchen counter. However, I am finding that a) it's too heavy for these 70 year old arthritic hands. Picking it up after mixing and pouring the contents of my smoothie into a cup is tricky. It's NOT lightweight. The second criticism is that it does NOT completely blend up cut pieces of fruits, even soft ones like mangoes and strawberries. I've tried the "mix" setting and the "liquefy" setting and it doesn't make a difference. I guess I'll have to try "grind" and "ice" next. But it seems to me a blender this powerful ought to do a better job of disintegrating small pieces of fruit (that HAVE been defrosted).

Good sturdy blender. Make milk shakes, Margaritas, easily. Good for crushing ice.

This a great blender. Works fast and blends well. Easy to use, but a little noisy.

We ordered this one the same day our old one died. The cord in the old unit jammed and ruined the electric supply to the unit. We leave the cord extended on the new one. It’s better to have the cord show than wreck the unit trying to hide the cord inside.

This purchase was to replace a similar model that we had for years. The blender is very easy to use for all sorts of uses. My favorite is a "milk shake" made with vanilla ice cream, milk and one fruit.

I am extremely disappointed with this blender. I had the same model for years, loved it, and expected the same awesome experience when I purchased it again - I gave the old one to my son. The power on this SmartPower is not up to par. To mix chocolate milk and finely chopped ice I need to put it on "liquify". It used to work on the "stir" function. Even on stir, the chocolate is not mixed. I'm very, very, very, very disappointed. The best thing is the glass jar. Easy to wash.

It's affordable and looks nice and I like that the pitcher is glass, but I think because it is pretty flat on the bottom and not conically shaped, there are still always chunks of banana and or peanut butter in my smoothies. The food does not get forced down into the blades. Doesn't matter what speed I put it on I get chunks of food. Bad pitcher design.

Nice reasonably priced blender that has plenty of power for everyday use. Especially like that it’s glass.

The blender constantly shuts off and has to be unplugged and reset. That is for any setting that operates for more than 15 seconds. It does not work very well. I bought it because my 20 year old blender worked so well.
