Q: Why are some people having issues with the rusting very quickly?

A: It is recommended to hand wash and thoroughly dry your Cuisinart knives after each use. This helps prevent water mineral deposits, which can sometimes appear as rust or discoloration, especially in areas with hard water. Some customers may experience what appears to be rapid rusting due to a few common factors: Mineral deposits from hard water can leave stains that resemble rust if knives are air-dried. Moisture left on the blade after washing can cause surface oxidation, particularly on high-carbon or stainless steel. Dishwasher use can accelerate corrosion due to prolonged moisture exposure, harsh detergents, and high heat. Hand washing with mild detergent, immediately drying with a soft cloth, and storing knives in a dry place will help maintain their appearance and performance.

Immediate rust
These knives rusted terribly & right away. Don’t understand all the good reviews yes they’re sharp but they rust terribly

Chip worse than any knives I have ever had.
I purchased the a while back. They have chipped and stained bad. They not only look bad, but the edges have tiny chunks missing. I will no longer use these because I am afraid they will leave metal chips in my food.

good option for the budget-conscious
if you are on a budget and can't swing $$$ for bigger name brands, go with this line of Cuisinart knives. We purchased these knives close to 10 years ago and it ended up pitting on the blade. Cuisinart was not responsive in honoring their warranty, so we decided to just buy a new set. While we want to get professional grade quality knives that could last the rest of our lives, we don't have the budget for that right now so we just replaced the knives we had with the same knives. Even if we get only 10 years out of them, it's a good buy. And at that point we can upgrade.

1 Knife for the price of 2
The little knife is good, but when I removed the cover from the large one, it was rusted in the middle teeth, and I was unable to remove that. I was surprised, as they are from my preferred brand; and, I’ve no idea how that would even have happened. The paring knife is good though. I really didn’t even realize the large one had teeth, as I had purchased a similar set years prior, and it did not.
