Inside the DIY kit you will find a plastic mason-style jar, a blue decorative lid, potting soil, Organic Chia seeds, Wheat Grass seeds, forest themed garden figurines, glowing sand, river stones, stickers and a plant mister to water your terrarium. You just assemble, decorate, water and watch it grow! It’s a fun way to teach kids about science, botany eco-systems and the life cycle of plants. A: Ages 6 to 96 is what the actual box says but if you help a child that is younger that should be fine as well. Hope this helps.

Q: Throw do u care for it after it has grown a lot? Transplant?

A: My daughters planted the seeds provided in the kit. They do not sprout actual flowers but more like a petit grass/ground cover. We did not transplant as there was really no reason to.

A: If overwatered or humid, you may get fuzzy growth appear. Remove lid and let the garden dry a bit - air circulation helps. Only water the surface till moist - not wet - when the soil is dry.

A: The kit is designed for chia seed. Due to the small container size, we would not recommend planting flower seeds or bulbs.

A: Yes, over time your garden will need to be replanted. You can use left over materials that you may have from the kit or purchase new soil and seeds from your local garden center. You will basically take the materials out of the jar and rework the project.

Fun and cute
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the capybara grow n glow terrarium! It’s a fun activity and easy for kids to follow along as long as they read the proper instructions ( I might have followed the diagram and not the instructions at first but that’s on me). I also really like that there is no need for sunlight and growth still happens without it. It took about 3-4 days of watering to see little sprouts pop up. It’s important to remember to water it each day especially when it’s first starting to grow. It’s a fun little activity!

We are still waiting for them to grow but they give you tons of seeds so it shouldn’t be a problem. A great Gender neutral gift!

I recently started homeschooling my 7-year-old, and this was the perfect addition to our learning activities. My son was so excited to set everything up and plant the seeds—and to our surprise, we saw sprouts in just two days! What makes this kit truly perfect is that everything you need is included—just add water. It comes with two adorable capybara figures, plenty of stickers (some glow in the dark!), and even part of the soil and rocks that glow in the dark too. Fun and educational
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is recommended for ages 6+, but it was a blast to put together with my 4 year old. She loved pouring the layers and decorating the jar with all the stickers, and then seeing how the stickers and sand glow and watching the seeds sprout and grow. The directions were simple and straightforward, and we had no issues understanding the steps. I love that it is educational in that you can see the seeds sprouting and watch them grow, roots and all. The little capybara figures are very cute, but the little bird on one of them broke off quite easily, which was the only disappointment. I like that the set came with extra chia seeds so that we can replant it and continue to enjoy it. Ever since we put it together, my daughter has excitedly checked it each day for progress. It is wonderful to have fun options to get children involved and interested in STEM. Although we frequently garden together, seeing the roots spread in the jar helps her understand better by being able to visualize the process of plants growing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the colors and how cute it looks with the stickers, I don't like that it says you can make two when you can only make one, if it lights up after being exposed to the sun but doesn't last long it wouldn't last all night, I would like the instructions to be more specific like this is the first step... and I would like it to have a small shovel or something to arrange the sand a little but in general I liked it my son enjoyed it a lot

The packaging is nice and sturdy, and the materials inside are of good quality. After about 3–4 days, the seeds sprouted into little plants. However, one downside is that the seedlings tended to get buried under the soil even though we followed the instructions. That being said, I still think this is a great toy. My daughter absolutely loved it and was so excited—she waters her little garden every single day. It’s a wonderful experience that is both creative and educational.
