It’s paper thin, not comfortable like the Japanese futons I’ve used in the past. The material irritates myself and my son’s skin causing a rash. We are not sensitive to laundry detergent, so it must be something that came with fabric

I have towels for this.

i let this futon get its plump back for 3 days. I sat on it and knew it was a waste of money. There is NO support for your joints. It is like sleeping on the floor with 4 beach towels. Most parts of this only got about 1 and /2 inch off the floor. Not the 4 inches reported online.

Sooo happy with the purchase

A lot of people have said their futon was lumpy but I haven't had that problem. It's comfortable, much softer than our old futon and it's thick! I thought I was gonna get cheated and get some tiny lumpy futon but no! It also only took about 12 hours to settle and I didn't notice any smell once it was inflated. My only complaint is that the fabric is on the cheaper side. The zipper does look like it won't last me many years to come but overall the price to comfort ratio is there and that's all I really cared about. Feels good, looks good, and I'm happy with it.

Perfect Floor Futon ??

I absolutely love this Japanese floor futon bed, it's thick, comfy, and perfect for lounging or sleeping. It stays neatly in place during the day and has become my toddler's favorite spot to play and nap. I really love that he naps on it during the day without me having to worry that he's going to fall. My toddler is happy, so I'm a happy mom too!

If you like a firm bed you won't have any issues

If you like a soft bed, this isn't for you. There's plenty of cushion but you can still feel the hardness of the floor. I enjoy a firmer bed and didn't wake up with any aches or pains.

Some of The Best Money I've Ever Spent

I've had this floor mattress for nearly five months and it has yet to fail me. I recently took it with me to a friend's house where I was staying while they recovered from surgery. I slept on it for two weeks there (my longest stint on it thus far) and not a once did I awake sore or uncomfortable. Besides being comfortable for sleeping it's great to have in the living room for movie nights. I will admit, I haven't quite figured out the best method for storing it folded up. I lost the straps it came with, so it mostly gets taco'd into available closet space. I was not expecting this to be nearly as comfortable as it is and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's some of the best money I've ever spent, it gets regular use and does exactly what's it supposed to do, which is be a comfortable place to rest.

This is the G.O.A.T. of futon mattresses, especially if using it as a couch most of the time, the broken foam core expands to like 8 times it's size...it turns a thin futon frame into a luxurious sitting and sleeping experience! It's got a boucle fabric outside cover, I didn't know what boucle was when I ordered it...it's basically just like those Sherpa-lined hoodies or jackets...that "twisted-up wool". In fact Sherpa and Boucle are used interchangeably (probably incorrectly) commonly. It's an unexpected but amazing material to use as a futon cover...I'll never "not" get this option in the future! The mattress is a Full-Size futon mattress, the XL, XXL, and XXXL markings are the level of "fill" they used - mine was the XXXL (3XL) fill and the combination of the medium-firmness chopped foam fill and the amazing cover make this one of the coziest places to curl up in the whole house! I got this for a bunk-bed futon (Single over Full Futon) and placed it in the finished basement which is currently setup for my daughter and her friends for sleepovers/games/art/lego stuff. It's perfect as the only furniture down there besides some task chairs and gaming chairs! This transformed what would be a pretty "also-ran" futon bunkbed into a luxurious place to hang out - if you have a "basic" futon mattress toss it and get this!

Pretty and easily rolls but not great thickness

I love the choices of patterns that is offered for this item and the navy floral is very pretty. It comes with the washable cover in the same style which is great. It is also easy to roll up and straps are included in your package. The only downside is that it is fairly thin with not too much patting for comfort so your looking at some back pain most likely from sleeping on it for the while night

Nice inexpensive sofa or bed option! It does come vacuum sealed so on arrival it needs to sit and "fluff" up a bit to really get its true shape. Also due to this some of the inside stuffing did clump up a bit however after a few weeks of use it's shifting around nicely and evened out. I love the color and the cat is a big fan!

Great Futon Mattress

I was actually really impressed opening this thing up. It was VERY well compacted into its little box, and I didn't have to fight with the box to stay open. The thicket straps around the plastic holding this were actually the first straps like it that DIDN'T break when I used them to haul the item around, so I was also impressed by that. It comes in 2 layers of plastic, so 2 degrees of vacuum sealing. It unrolled very easily, and started to expand to full size almost immediately upon being laid out. The furry texture is fun, but I did end up putting a blanket over it because it would irritate my skin while I sleep, but if you're using this for a futon couch in a living room or something it'll be fine. I could move it by myself as a not-very-strong small adult, but if I'd had help I definitely would have appreciated it. All in all, definitely already do not regret getting this, it's very comfortable and will certainly improve my night's sleep.

All I can say is when this came in I honestly thought there is NO WAY this is the futon mattress. It was so darn heavy in the box I thought somebody sent me a bunch of rocks or something. To my shocking surprise when I opened it up I could not believe how soft this was yet how solid it was. I mean this is more comfortable than a lot of beds people buy. Totally amazing for the price. Way to go Maxyoyo!!

Great for people who like a firm sleeping surface.

I replaced my memory foam mattress with this and have had no regrets so far. I sleep very well on harder surfaces, and if something is too soft i wake up several times in the middle of the night with a falling feeling. Not recommended for anyone who likes the "sleeping on a cloud" feeling, but if you are like me and sometimes sleep on the floor if the mattress is too soft, this is a great option. Amazing for camping. it fits nice in my van, and the bed of my dad's truck as well as most two or more person tents we have tried it in. it folds or rolls up relatively small and is a good alternative to air mattresses for the application.

Not firm

We have a futon in a spare bedroom that is used as a den when no guests are visiting. Therefore the futon is primarily used as a couch. The original mattress was damaged over the years by kids and pets. This mattress is the same thickness but mushy. The original was very firm and more comfortable.
