Hard to put together and does not rotate

I just got it up! I haven't gotten it decorated. Will change my stars if anything arises when I start using it

Even tho' it's nice, it's really hard to assemble...the instructions are terrible...not worth the price.

AVOID! All I wanted was a nice little spinning tree. If you get it right, which is like the boss level of a video game, it's super cute. But putting it together is an absolute nightmare and it should be pulled off every single store shelf. I'm like traumatized. I spent the whole day trying to put it together and it's still not put together. The wooden shelves have one hole for the Tree trunk pole, and a smaller hole to pull the chords through. Sounds easy in theory doesn't it? But once you put the Tree parts onto those shelves together, which is what you're supposed to do before you thread the cords through, it is a pain in the behind to pull those chords through because there's a little cap for the plugs that barely fits through those holes, and you have to try to move the tree and poles now placed together, according to the hieroglyphics, in order to thread the cords through. The small hole is now partially blocked so you have to contort and hold all kinds of toppling tree parts in order to thread the cords through. So picture you're struggling with this tree and trying to thread the chords through these tiny holes only to realize you may not have connected them properly. So now you have to take it apart again which is a heck of a nightmare. This means when you think you've put it together and think you've got it right and all connected, if you make a mistake you have to go through this madness again. You have to thread cords through all the levels up and down. Just don't make a mistake! (which is a guarantee because the instructions are absolute trash). There are no directions. Just a horrible photocopy of pictures supposedly there to help you step-by-step if only you could see what the picture is. You can‘t. It doesn't help at all. There are no written instructions and I can't find anywhere online that has a tutorial or instructions on how.. Additionally it is very shaky and unbalanced unless you screw the metal holders to the shelves. There are no screws included. None other than the little ones that go into the metal holder that holds the base. I had to grab some out of our garage and power drill it into the shelves. So if you have infinite patience, go ahead and try, but I promise you, unless you’re some sort of engineer, you are going to be wanting to rip your hair out of your head. I'm generally very good at putting things together even without instructions. But this beast is something else. It's like a psychopath invented this tree to harass people at christmas. I wouldn't wish it in my worst enemy. But hey, if you like a little bit of a final boss fight, go ahead. Personally I would rather get a tooth pulled. I hate quitting so I'm going to get some rest tonight and wrestle with this garbage again tomorrow. Le sigh. I wish they’d make things right.
