Q: ok to replace lava rocks with Firepit glass? if so, how many lbs needed to fit 11" x 33" insert?

  • A: Bought 25# of fire glass. Couldn't fit all 25#. Removed it, added "base layer" of lava rock to help air flow under and around burner, and then added fire glass on top. Works great!

  • A: You can replace lava rocks with Firepit glass. How much you put in is up to you. To ensure proper function, the guard on the burner should never have lava rocks covered over it.

Excellent Customer Service

This review is for the vendor. The (2nd) table itself is fine and I am happy with it, but the vendor went above and beyond in customer service. The first table sent to me functioned perfectly, however it had a small but noticeable appearance defect. I sent the customer service representative a photograph and he quickly arranged to send me a replacement. It arrived very quickly and is now in use on my deck. The vendor did not ask for a return of the first table, so I have donated it a friend. We even came up with some imaginative solutions to the appearance issue. I am very satisfied with the entire experience.

I love this thing

This was packaged well and came without any broken parts, which was a major worry for me. There wasn\'t much to assemble. I\'ve used it a few times and it works great. It looks pretty nice on the patio. I\'m thinking of finding something to cover the rocks so that I can use this as a regular coffee table when it isn\'t lit. I\'d say that overall I am very happy with it and would purchase again without hesitation.

We are obsessed!

I am in love with this propane fire pit. It looks incredibly sleek and people are SHOCKED when I tell them how much it was! It does get very hot near the rocks so you have to be careful, but you cannot beat the price on this. It looks like a luxury piece and will be a great addition to any home.

This set is attractive. However it doesn't start right away. We have to fiddle with a few times to get it to fire up. The table for the tank is nice, but picking it up to turn the propane tank on off is annoying. I also dislike having to have it always covered. It was easy to set up and produces a nice amount of heat.

Nice for the price

This product has like yellowish gold flakes. Very cheaply made. The hose is long to connect the propane take which is stored outside of the firepit. Aesthetically is not so great. There are no pictures for that. It did work fantastic when I had it all set up. Just be careful for the chipping of it because it is made of like a pottery wheel material. ON the bottom it chips off easy. The outside is layered. It is a nice size. I did buy the glass to prevent the wind but the size of the glass that I thought fit, does not fit and I had put it together and now have to return it. Overall decently nice looking and for the price, it is worth it.

LOVE IT!!!

This was such a great deal for the quality I got. It came well packaged. Instructions were simple up to the part where it doesn't show or explain how or where to put the AA battery for the igniter. Finally figured it out and "mic drop" from there!! Flames were fantastic, hot and looked absolutely beautiful while lit at night. I highly recommend this one!!

Beautiful fire pit.

It was well packaged, quick and easy to put together, and the flame became quite large, giving off more heat than I had expected. It\'s in our lounge. Everybody loves it. It looks great and keeps us warm. I love our new fire pit! It\'s a beautiful design.
