Kept the Grandkids Entertained All Afternoon

Bought this for my grandson's fourth birthday - he hasn't stopped 'digging' up the garden since. The remote control is a lifesaver when he heads for the flowerbeds, and the dump mechanism is simple enough for little hands. Sturdy build, though the noise might test the neighbours' patience. Good fun for the price.

Malfunctions daily

The lever to dump the back stopped working after a couple months. Every time he uses it the truck will go into reverse even though it’s on the switch to move forward, my son gets very frustrated with it. It takes my help to get it moving forward (turning it off and on, clicking the switch from forward to backward and then it will randomly start moving forward) it will stay like this for a bit but will do it again while he’s playing. Again very frustrating for all.

Ok for what you get

Dump body lever stopped working after one day. The truck will be going forward then go in reverse without hitting the switch. My son loves it but gets frustrated when it switches direction...now says it's not fast enough.

Works just fine!!

This truck is amazing so far, too amazing because my grandson won't get off it. It's noisy and has noisy music. Battery is holding, The Remote control is great to stop little kids from getting in trouble. Definitely worth the cost. I thought it was a slow speed being on 12V but it's really perfect as is, speed is appropriate for a toddler. Assembly was easy enough.

This truck was a birthday gift for my son. He loved it! The truck is easy to install and the remote control is better for keeping the kids safe. We could take him for a walk in the park. It can sing. Many children like it very much.

Great Truck... but buy the extended warranty

My son enjoys his dump truck very much, and I like the fact that it has a remote control that allows me to keep him out of difficult situations.... However, inform yourself about what the company is willing to do if a malfunction happens to the dump truck. From my limited conversation with customer service i gathered that they do not sell spare parts. My wife bought this dump truck trough Target.com but did not buy the extended warranty. Less than a year later, the battery started to die on us. I called Costway and their response was: "We are not allowed to deal with customers who bought our products through other sites. Sorry we can't help you, but you need to deal with Target". I called Target and their response was : "Well, if you didn't buy the extended warranty we can't help you"... So I was literary left with a useless toy. Good thing I wasn't as useless as the customer service and was able to recognize the problem. I was able to take out the battery, go to Amazon and buy the same battery for $20 dollars. Moral of the story... buy the extended warranty and save yourself the headache...

Remote controls are fun and useful

We bought this as a gift for our son when he was 5 years old and we were very pleased with it. It is easy to assemble, easy to operate and reliable. Our son rides it almost every day, and the motor is powerful enough that he can cross almost any terrain. It climbed up hills, crossed grass and dirt, and even pulled a great deal of stuff. The battery performance is very good, it can last for several days. Our son loves the lights and the radio, and the remote is fun and useful. Good stuff at a good price.

Great gift for 2 year old

My son got this for Christmas and he loves riding in it. He still hasn't quite figured out how to drive it on his own so the remote is very handy. The controls on the remote are very simple. At times I find it difficult to keep the truck going in a straight line but overall I do find the remote is easy to operate. The truck was relatively easy to assemble. I remember having a bit of a hard time with assembling the wiring just based on written directions however there was an accompanied installation video that explained it better for me. We have had one incident where my son has pinched his arm while operating the dump truck but he was not hurt. I try to pay extra attention to where hands and fingers are when he operates that part of the toy. We have not yet run out of battery life on a walk or while my son has been playing with it. There is a nifty little indicator on the truck about how much voltage the battery has. We have run it down to 9 volts and the truck still operates but you can tell it is not operating at full capacity. It definitely takes awhile to fully charge the battery so we do try to charge it after every use. Overall we are super happy with the purchase and hope it will last him a couple years of play!

My son loves it!

The battery actually lasts a long time! We've had it now 2 months and the battery still lasts 2-3 whole days. It was kind of a pain to assemble, definitely recommend Atleast two people. That being said it only took my husband and I 20-30min to assemble. The Bluetooth works great as well. The bucket doesn't tilt too fast or too slow. It's been two months and my toddler still wants to play with it all day!

Best gift ever

This is the birthday gift for my 4 years old nephew. He very likes it . It very easy to assemble and easy to direction , seems durable . It's really cute dump truck. He learned to pump the joystick up and down to control the dump truck like the real thing. It's really fun and a sturdy toy. He likes to play with it all day long. It comes with remote control parents can using it. My sister in law told me the battery life is good, it can plays 3 or 4 days to charge. It's great gift for kids .
