Slips & Slides On Tile
I like the look of it & the ease of use with unfolding it & collapsing it back, BUT, it slides across the tile like an ice skating rink. I had to affix my own felt pads to the leg feet to get traction. I should have used rubber. The feet look like rubber, but they are not rubber, they are slick black plastic. This stool did not meet my expectations. The weight limit on it is also not high enough for everybody in the household, so only the lightweight family members can use it. Very uninclusive of people of all sizes/weights plus unstable & slidey on hard non-carpet surfaces.

FALL RISK! I fell off twice! Never again! I tried to inform Target that the item pictured (first 3) isn’t the correct product. It doesn’t have an anti slip step area and the feet are PLASTIC! It slid out from under me! DO NOT BIUY. Also, they wouldn’t exchange or refund. I’m upset and that the manufacturer is hard to reach!!! I have been trying since November of 2024! The one I show on the “right” I got a few years ago from Target (which matches the description, and first 3 photos they have on website) the one on the “left” is what I received with that order in Nov 2024, the one I have fallen off of! DO NOT BUY! Target is also NO HELP AND doesn’t seem to care that their information is INCORRECT and that people are getting hurt!!!

DECEPTIVE absolutely ridiculous it cost more in store
I would not have purchased this yesterday had i known i was paying 50% MORE IN STORE.. I ONLY went to target to purchase this because it was listed at $9.99. HOW IS THIS LEGAL? This is deceptive sales practice at the very least. HOW DOES THIS MAKE FINANCIAL SENSE? Its absolutely ridiculous that it cost 50% more in store. SO if i frequent your location im better off no longer walking in to your store to buy things.. You would rather pay someone to pick it off the shelf for me? and not only pay them to do it, but make 50% less off the item for doing more work? WHAT?!?!?! I feel Ripped off and Scammed by target. I am rethinking being a target customer, and its less than 5 minutes from my home. What is the point of visiting your store fronts if your going to treat customers that actually walk in to your stores like absolute trash. Its crazy to me that if i simply put an order in for it, and still picked it up from the same location it would have been cheaper. WHY IS THIS NOT POSTED IN THE STORE!????? THIS IS DECEPTIVE SELLING

Dangerous Fall Risk
The bottoms of the stool legs are not rubber so unless you have carpet and you surface you put it on it's going to slide and that's exactly what happened as soon as I stood on it I can't believe that there's no rubber on the bottoms of those pegs.

I wish it were higher
For the price, it's terrific quality, stable, and sturdy, but I wish it were another inch or two higher. The fact that it folds is an added bonus, though I will store it in a corner of my study in the open position until needed to reach the highest bookshelves. I bought it because I can move it around by grabbing the top bar with a reacher tool, unlike other small step stools which are difficult to move about--you try using your foot, and they fall over and are difficult to right using your feet, and other folding ones collapse if you try to push them across a floor with your foot, and none have a convenient place to grab with a reacher tool--so you have to bend way down to use your hands, which also gets your hands dirty. I like to keep my hands clean when I handle my books.
