CORE 40072 11 Person Family Outdoor Camping Cabin Tent with Screen Room, Red

The poles were not high enough quality to stay together when put together. It was impossible to put it up with only one person, we had to push and pull simultaneously. The fabric seemed high quality and the size was great. 15 years experience camping and we couldn't get it up easily.

This tent is as advertised…setup was easy considering this is not a instant tent platform. Looking forward to using it. There’s only two of us that will occupy it so space should be adequate for our needs.

The instructions were easy to follow and everything was color coordinated. My only complaint is that getting the poles into the pins/holders were SO tight it took several people to get them in.

Love everything about this tent. Love the separate rooms. Most of all, I love that this company stand by product. The zipper had an issue and Core stood by the product to make things right. Very loyal happy costumer!

I bought this tent maybe 5 years ago now and it has held up through more than I ever thought it would. I've camped recreationally a number of times but I've also been in a couple situations where I was homeless and had to make this tent my home and I could not have asked for a better product, i lived in this tent in the cold and the hot in nice weather and storms with 50mph gusts of wind where the side wall was on my face while I was sleeping. I want to express my gratitude to core equipment for making an incredibly solid product at an affordable price so thank you and keep up the good work.

Received our wine colored purchase 6/4/24 and set it up in the back yard. Forecast predicted showers and thunderstorms the next couple days so wanted to put it to the test. IT PASSED with flying colors IMO. Predicted thunderstorm came through the night of 6/5 in our north Alabama county. Watched the tent sway with wind gusts of, I’d say, 40mph. Was a bit concerned as I was watching but it held up and stayed anchored. Now, I did use Coghlans 7” aluminum stakes as opposed to those provided and insert on a 30-45 degree angle as well.

Tent is a great size and layout. Not sure it's worth the $. Hard to put up with 2 people. Main zipper continually snagged on rain flap (white flap). .. SUPER annoying. Actually contemplating returning because of it

We've had this tent for about three years now and still going strong. We were in an all night rainstorm and it was bone dry the next morning, even in the screen room. Now we do waterproof it annually but that's just regular tent maintenance.

Great tents! We purchased two for our American Heritage Girls Troop. On our first campout it rained all night long. No leaks and the front room was perfect for leaving muddy shoes! Plus I love that an adult can stand up comfortably.

Received the tent yesterday and so far we love it. Can't wait to go camping. Will supply photos later

Set up and take down were quite easy. Everything fits perfectly in the carry bag. I love that the screen room has panels to close should it rain. Looking forward to our camping trip.

set up this tent wear gloves and wipe down the fiberglass poles with a damp cloth to clean loose splinters from shipping. Other than that this tent is amazing. The screen room is big enough to set up a foldable picnic table when there are a lot of bugs and the sleeping area is spacious enough for large beds and side tables. I just wish this style tent had Core's Instant Up system and built in lighting. It is still easy enough to set up though. Other features I like are great airflow, taped seams, and extension cable inlet.

Took it out for the first time after we received it and it lightly rained twice. The tent leaks by every window. The tent has plenty of space but because the sides are on a angle you lose some space as well. Like that the tent has a divider so you can utilize the screen room and keep bugs out of the main tent area.

I want to give this 5 stars. I have not used the item yet and I am hoping the quality will hold up to the 4 star rating. If the website allows updating, I will update when I use the tent. We set up the tent fairly easy for not being familiar with the tent. I would say 15 to 20 min. I am sure we can get the setup down to 10 to 15. It will require two people for that time frame unless there is zero wind. Tent is nice and light so if you are trying to do it on your own, you definitely need to stake down as you set up, which would require constant re staking in not optimal weather. We had trouble with the pin for the side poles. We are still trying to figure out the best way to set the pins without wanting to break something, or rip something. I know that the support poles are pretty strong and flexible, but I do not want to over do it and break any of them. Instructions appear to not be very useful. This is my second tent from CORE and the first also did not have great instructions either, and that was an instant up. Overall, I would prefer the instant up but the design and layout of this tent is great. It has plenty of room inside. The screen room has panels to zip up inside to create another room. With it being majority screen, you do risk water entry if it rains. I wish CORE would have a bigger (more coverage type) or full rainfly for this tent. I also found that it feels really flimsy, which I guess is normal for standard pole tents. I would go back to an instant up but do to the design of an instant up, a closed in screen room with floor will be almost impossible unless it is extremely large. Overall, if the tent holds up on usage, I will keep this as a 4 star. One last thing, we did notice some flaws on the canopy screen, but it wasn't ripped or torn, just flawed, so that wasn't a huge factor in the rating.

Front screen room can not handle wind. We had a windy camp weekend, nothing out of ordinary or what would be considered inclement weather. Front screen room suffered two pole failures. Size and tent is very nice though. Very unfortunate it could last more than one trip. I believe it to be a design flaw in from screen room.

We bought this tent for our family of 3 to go camping this summer. It has so much room and we love that we can stand up in it. The screen porch is great for our kid to play in during the day and works even better as the adult hang out spot when she goes to bed. Customer service is also amazing. The first tent we got ripped the first time we’re setting it up and I emailed the company and they took care of it right away!

Loved the tent. Had it for maybe 3 years now. Fits me on a cot and 4 kids on floor very nicely, and the front room great to store our stuff. But on a day with rain and some wind, it leaked all over. The rain fly flapped against the screen roof and the water just seeped through the fly, through the screen. Had to pack up in the rain as it was expected through the night. I'm not sure how the design would prevent this. If there was no wind, maybe it would be fine.

Great tent, plenty of room and the screened area is actually usable.

We love this tent! We are a tall family at 6.4 and 6.5, we can stand up inside the main space. We also have enough room for our kiddos too. This was the best purchase for our camping adventures.

Setup the tent for the first time last night. It took a lot longer than expected. I watched a YouTube video and have to believe there was some editing that took place. It took roughly forty minutes to set this up due to how the poles go into the plastic sockets. You have to bend them just right to get them to slide all the way in. I’m hoping this gets easier with practice. The tent itself seems very nice and durable. I’ll know more next week after our first trip in it.
