I purchased this item because I loved the color and fabric. Mixes well with the rest of my living room. The corduroy is comfortable on my lap as I'm working on my MacBook. I took off a star because of the bean bag type filling. Does not stay firm as pictured but goes rather flat. Overall I'd purchase again. A good value for the price. Not cutesy like other lap boards
