    You have done an excellent job on every regard. Initially, I talked with a young lady on the phone who answered some questions I had regarding your coffee and the company. She was very professional and helpful. I subscribed after that and your timeliness on delivery has been spot on. The roasting and freshness have been very good. The Guatemalan has a nice subtle flavor. I'm thinking about trying the Ethiopian soon.

    It's not as good as other Ethiopian coffees I've had. I had to adjust the amount of coffee as well as the amount of cream several times before landing a combination that makes the coffee acceptable to me.

    I cannot drink this coffee. I wanted to try something new (new roaster and new coffee) and regret my decision to risk a 2-lb. Purchase, especially since that amount is hardly "fresh-roasted" by the time I get to the end of a bag. But most of all, after several attempts to modify the amount of beans, the grind, water temperature, etc., I just had to admit it's just not good. Anyone who rated it with 5 stars want a mostly full bag of espresso beans?

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, two pounds of coffee beans is a huge amount! Be sure you know what you're signing yourself up for when buying this. As for the dark roast, it never tasted burnt to me (which is my experience with many dark roasts), so that's a huge plus. I tried brewing precisely as a pourover at various water temperatures but always pulled too many off flavors to enjoy. Brewed with a "blunter" automated coffee machine instead and it smoothed out the flavors quite a bit to make a far more enjoyable cup.

    It's a smooth light roast, but the flavors that I generally expect from a Guatemalan roast (almond, milk chocolate, and a touch of cherry) aren't there. There really isn't a strong flavor at all, just a nice mouthfeel.
