There should be instructions to take the brown sticker off the sealing part. Looks like its supposed to be there.

Love the product
It’s a great product and I love how it seals and keep foods fresh. The only beef I have with the unit is the power cord will not stay in the unit when I press a selection.

Terrible product
I have used the vacuum sealer a total of 5 times and the last 3 times when I only seal one side of the bag, the provided bag will melt to the heating strip and ruin the bag
