Modern Heirloom Queen Charlotte Bedspread Blue: Floral Pattern, Machine Washable, Plain Weave

I ordered this bedspread to go in the guest bedroom at my son's house where he moved out of state. I wanted something big enough for comfort (and no fighting over a short-sided regular quilt), beautiful, and good quality. This beautiful bedspread surpassed my expectations! My boy prelaundered it (I had it shipped there) before putting it on the bed. It washed and dried in regular cycles beautifully, coming out without a pulled stitch anywhere on the embroidery or the patchwork quilting. It drapes very generously on the bed, all the way down the sides. The top of it near the headboard (the pillows area) has a lot of extra area to it, allowing you to fold it over a time or 2, or allowing you to fold it over and then cover your pillows the old fashioned way of making a bed. The quilt is a nice, medium weight for all season use. When you do make the bed with the top over the pillows, it's firm enough to not fall down between the pillows, giving it a well-made look. Need-to-know things: -The blue band that goes around the top edges of the mattress go slightly down the side, but not off the bed top. -This works best on a bed that is taller off the floor. If your bed is a low bed, it will drag the floor on the sides and foot of the bed because it's that generously sized. Things that help this include any combination of an elevated bed, a thicker mattress, and/or a 5"+ boxspring/ platform between the bed and the mattress. -This is real patchwork, not printed on colors. And it's real embroidery, too. I liked it so much at his house that I just ordered another one for my own bed here at home! Yes, there's a bit of a delay in receiving it, but it is definitely worth the wait. I expect this sturdy, high quality quilt to last me for years. It even stands up to dogs on the bed! I definitely recommend it.

I like the way it looks. Great for the winter. Stitching is very nice.
