I had ordered two of these , one came promptly. The other one took forever and in that time I decided they were too small. When the shipment showed up the box was so damaged . I took it directly to the store to return and ( never opened it) when the sales clerk opened the box there were two lamps in there and both lamp shades were so damaged . She was so embarrassed. Target do better! This is unacceptable .

How does this not come with a standard shade?
The lamp shade ring (the part inside that goes on top of the base/lightbulb case) doesn't appear to be standard, so you can't change the lamp shade. It looks fine in the picture but it looks comically small in real life.

Very nice lamp, packed TERRIBLY. Ordered two lamps, one had the lampshade cracked and dented in several spots and the other had the shade completely destroyed. If you can't pack items like this more carefully, why even sell them online.
