Very effective. Softens hair

I lovelovelove the way Goddess Strength 💪 makes my hair feel, but after a few bottles of conditioner, I couldn't take the scent anymore. I'm a fragrance-free, dye-free laundry person; I'm allergic to most perfumes; and I'm allergic to gluten/grains, soy and, y'know, air. 😒 After trying an Aisle 31 brand I will not mention, I'm back to Carol's Daughter. I had to put a LOT of this black vanilla conditioner on my hair, but that could just be an indication of what the other brand did to my hair. I let it soak in while I showered and shaved, and this turned from a 1-star review to a 5-star review. My thick hair is super soft and shiny after being blow dried. Glad I gave this a try.

Absolutely terrible! This product made my hair extremely dry and felt like straw. Never again will I be buying anything Carol’s Daughter. I will be going back to Amika immediately!

Good quality. I just don’t think it was quite right for my hair. Left my hair feeling a little heavier. Good for my curls, but I didn’t love the texture it left behind.

My hair tends to be dry and frizzy, but this conditioner leaves it feeling soft, hydrated, and much more manageable. The scent is amazing and lasts without being overpowering. I also appreciate that it’s made with natural ingredients and no silicones or parabens. After just one use, my hair felt smoother and looked shinier, and with continued use, I’ve noticed less breakage. This has become my go-to for deeply moisturizing and detangling my type 4 hair.

It gave the texture of my hair feeling soft and clean again. The packaging was awesome and it doesn't spill everywhere. I will value my next purchase of the conditioner real soon.

So i had high hopes for this product and was unfortunately let down. Its really difficult to find a decent shampoo for my hair in my area and found this line at my grocery store so i thought to try it. I have relatively sensitive skin and a friend of mine used to use this a few years back and so i thought why not since she has plenty of skin issues and it seemed to worked for her before she found something more expensive that she preferred. The first time i used it, it wasnt so bad. Not the best ive tried but it smelled pretty good besides a weird acrylic smell thats not so noticeable and the shampoo felt nice in my hair at first. The conditioner however didnt help at all. It dried my hair out really bad and for the past month since using it im so staticky because of the dryness my hair is a floating halo constantly. I look like i stuck my finger in an outlet! Everything i touch shocks me and only when i use these products. My scalp is horrible too. Dandruff doesnt begin to describe it, i have black pillow cases and when i wake up theres so much flakes its like im sleeping in powder and my scalp is so incredibly raw and sticky. Painful and itchy. And i double checked for allergies, went to my doctor about it and my allergies havent changed so it has to be the formula since none of the ingredients im allergic to. I even changed my shower filter just in case and zero difference at all. I called her after not talking for years to ask and she said the formula change which is why she switched. The pump on the bottles hardly work too its so hard to pump. I usually end my showers with a little bit of oil from this brand which usually did the trick to soothe my scalp and not even that will help. I have little bald patches from lost hair since using this and the more i use it the worse it gets. If you have sensitive skin i wouldnt recommend this at all. You get the same results from dollar store conditioner.. if not better. At least when i stopped using it the big scabs started to heal and the rawness went away a little bit but my hair is so brittle now. What a shame.

Carol’s daughter is a brand that I’m slowly trying more and more of and this black vanilla hydrating conditioner was amazing my curls as you can see from my before and after are insane they really help bring my crows back to life and since I do have heat damage and I’m regrowing my hair, I do have a lot of different curl, textures and patterns throughout my hair, and this really helped. 

The target product description is incorrect, it says silicone free but it is not. The vanilla smell is also a very strong/artificial scent
