BYOMA Blemish Acne Control Body Lotion - 13.52 fl oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using a BYOMA product. I would try another product from this brand in the future. I was given the acne control body lotion to try. I was worried it would be a little drying given that it’s a salicylic acid product, but it was not— it is a thin consistency body lotion that absorbs into the skin readily and does not leave any greasy film at all on the skin. I personally did not notice a difference in terms of a change in body acne or keratosis pilaris but I think I would need to use this for a longer duration and more frequently (I used every other day). It certainly did not worsen any skin concerns. It is also unscented and did not irritate my sensitive skin. The pump design was large and easy to use.

It left my skin looking/feeling hydrated. I found that the salicylic acid helped minimize acne and gently exfoliated my skin without causing any burning/stinging or irritation. I appreciate that the ingredient breakdown included the purpose for each component. To me, it has a “dusty” smell (probably due to the salicylic acid), but thankfully it wasn’t strong. The packaging is very practical, functional, and aesthetic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing that stood out to me about this lotion was the texture — it actually works as a lotion, something that’s rare for any kind of “medicated” lotion. Often when there’s another kind of benefit to lotion (exfoliation, acne prevention) the ability to of the lotion to moisturize really suffers. Not so with this Byoma, I was very impressed. I didn’t notice an immediate reduction in breakouts but I did notice that it didn’t get worse, which is more than I can say for other lotions I’ve tried for my body!

It feels lightweight and absorbs quickly which I prefer. I didn't detect any fragrance either, which won't clash with any perfumes you might wear later.

I tend to get acne on my chest and back and anytime that acne popped up me using this product got rid of it. It also lighten up darker spots that are on my skin. I will definitely be keeping this product a part of my skin care and referring it to others. I love the packaging of it. Also it doesn’t have a fragrance sent to it and lotion is not a heavy feel.

Always a little hesitant with salicylic product drying out skin too much but you don’t have to worry with this lotion. I personally didn’t think it took too long to absorb on my skin either. Liked the subtle scent and so far I’m happy with this lotion. I’ve used it for quite a while now and I do think it’s helping control my breakouts.
