Brentwood 1.79-Qt. Cordless Digital Glass Electric Kettle with 6 Precise Temperature Presets and Swivel Base in Black

So far this Brentwood kettle seems very nice. It lights up a lovely blue and the controls are easy to use. I checked with a thermometer and the kettle does heat water up to my chosen temperature (175 F), and the Keep Warm function keeps it at that temperature. There are a couple of negative points, though. 1. The buttons on the handle where you choose your water temperature have the wrong indications for white tea and green tea. They say 175 degrees for white and 180 for green. Weirdly, the box it came in has a picture of the handle with the buttons with the wrong labels, but it also includes an entire panel with pictures that show the correct temperatures for different kinds of teas, including 175 F for green tea and 180 F for white. 2. The lid is metal, and you have to pull a lever there to open the top to add water. That lid and lever get very hot. I’m going to have to keep a towel handy to assist with opening the lid between water batches (during initial cleaning, you have to do this 3-4 times).

Had this for about a month and no issues so far. Love the ability to easily change water temperature, even when already on. It saves the last temperature you used for the next time around and has two light settings to show if boiling or on keep warm. Also really like that it is lightweight--easy to use and pour from.
