Q: Are these Latex free? It says TPE, but the actual product smells like natural rubber latex. There is a latex allergy in my family and I want to keep them safe. Thank you!

A: Under specifications it lists Material: TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer as the material. When I look up TPE it reads: “No, Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) and Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) are synthetic materials that do not contain natural latex, making them excellent latex-free alternatives for people with allergies, though sensitivities to other synthetic components can still occur. They are made from petrochemicals (like styrene and butadiene) and offer rubber-like flexibility without the allergens found in natural rubber latex.” So is this latex or not?
